When the plane landed, Peter reunited with Ned, who didn't seem so angry anymore, while Luna spoke with MJ and Brad. "Hey, man. Did you see Brad on the plane?" Peter began in a whisper. "He kept staring at Luna and smiling at her the entire time." He stated.
"Dude, don't worry, okay? I'm sure that's nothing." Ned assured. "I mean— come on, it's Luna."
"Hey, babe." Betty approached. "Can you hold this for me, please?" She handed Ned her scarf.
"Yeah, of course." Ned smiled while she pecked him on the cheek.
The two of them laughed. Ned booped Betty's nose, then turned back to Peter as she left. By now, Luna had been standing just behind Peter.
"What?" Luna spoke up first.
"What was that?" Peter furrowed his eyebrows.
"Oh, uh— well. We actually got to talking on the plane, and it turns out, we have a lot in common." Ned explained. "We're boyfriend and girlfriend now."
"Whatever happened to being an American bachelor in Europe?" Peter questioned Ned's earlier plans.
"Peter, those were the words of a boy. That boy, met a woman. A very strong and powerful woman. And now, that boy's a man." Ned chuckled.
Luna and Peter exchanged skeptical looks.
"Babe?" Betty called out.
"Coming, babe." Replied Ned. He smiled one last time to Luna and Peter, then walked away.
"This trip has been off to a weird start." Luna sighed. Peter and Luna held their suitcases on their way out, but Peter was stopped by a dog, who smelled something interesting in his suitcase.
"There's nothing in there. I swear." Peter said nervously while the woman opened his suitcase. Luna stood beside him in curiosity. Inside the suitcase, was his suit. On top, there was a post it note from May that read, 'You almost forgot this!!'."
Peter, wide eyed, looked at Luna, then at the woman in front of him. She paused for a moment, then reached further inside. She pulled out a banana. "These, no." She stated.
Peter and Luna sighed of relief. "Thank you!" Peter zipped up his suitcase. He grabbed Luna's hand and began running.
"Peter, why are we running?" Luna questioned.
"We need to catch up with the others." He said. "]I can't believe May put my suit in there." Peter groaned. "Hey! We're here!" Peter called out to the group.
"You still didn't bring yours, right?" Peter added.
"Yeah." Luna nodded hesitantly. She looked down to her suitcase in shame.
To get to their hotel, they all boarded a small boat. Although, the hotel they arrived at appeared to be dirty and beaten down.
"Looks like we're here!" Exclaimed Mr. Harrington. "They're— doing some renovations to this place. Getting some upgrades." He stammered. "That must be the concierge!" He exclaimed as a man made his way forward. Luna stepped out of the boat, and held out her hand for Peter.
"I don't need help to get off the boat." Peter grinned slightly.
"Just take my hand, Peter." Luna rolled her eyes.
The boy chuckled, then reached for her hand and pulled himself up.
"Here we are!" Announced Mr. Harrington as they entered the hotel. "Woah!" He shouted. He stepped onto the flooded floor.
"This place is sinking." Flash commented.
"I think you mean charming." Replied Mr. Harrington optimistically.
"Okay, everybody!" Began Mr. Dell. "Drop your bags off. We're going to meet at the Davinci museum at three! Let's go!"
"Vamonos!" Mr. Harrington exclaimed.
"It's andiamo." MJ corrected.
"Andiamo!" Repeated Mr. Harrington.
"When in Rome, You do as the romans do. We're in Venice, your socks get wet!" Mr. Dell yelled.
"Who are you sharing a room with?" Peter asked. Luna looked towards him.
"MJ. I told you on the flight." She responded.
"Oh, yeah. Sorry." Peter nodded.
Spending the day out with everyone was the most fun Peter and Luna had experienced for the first time in quite some time. At some point, Peter disappeared, leaving Luna alone.
She ended up finding Brad, and since he was the only one around that she could see, she approached him.
"Hey, have you seen Peter around?" Luna asked. Brad spun around quickly. "Uh.. no. I haven't. I can help you find him, if you want." He offered. Luna turned around and checked one last time to see if Peter was around.
"You know what? Don't worry about it. I'll find him later." Luna chuckled lightly. Suddenly, a pigeon landed on her shoulder. She glanced at it curiously, then smiled.
"Oh, hold on. I gotta take a photo of this." Brad laughed.
He backed away and held up his phone. "That's amazing. Perfect." Brad stated. "You look great." He complimented.
"Thanks." Luna smiled. The pigeon flew away.
"Fiori per la signora?"
Brad and Luna turned around. A man with a bouquet of flowers approached them.
"Yes, please." Brad pulled out his wallet.
"Quattro euro." The man held out his hand.
Brad gave him four euros, and took the flowers. "For you." Brad smiled as he handed the bouquet to Luna.
"Oh, thanks." Luna smiled. "That's really nice of you."
Suddenly, there was a loud crash, and a huge wave of water shot up. The wave appeared to be in the form of a person. Luna furrowed her eyebrows, then looked to Brad.
"I— I have to go." She said quickly. Luna already had a bad feeling about today, and wore her suit underneath her clothes. Needless to say, she was glad she had a reason to use it since she was sweating the entire day.
By the time Luna looked back to Brad, he had already run away. With a sigh, she ran to find Peter, and threw her shirt and pants to the side while she did.
At the source of the water, Luna flew towards it. She held up her arms in fear. It seemed that fighting water was much more difficult when trying to control it.
Luna screamed. She had been blown off to the side. It seemed as if there was no real water to control, no way to defeat it. She crashed into a wall.
"You brought your suit?!" Peter shouted. Luna turned to look at the boy who was right next to her.
"Where's yours?" She asked.
"Hotel room, but—"
Luna stood up and continued off. There appeared to be a mysterious man fighting against the water giant now. Somehow, he was managing to hurt it.
"Excuse me, sir!" Peter shouted. He now had an Italian touristic mask over his face. "Let me help! I can help! I'm really strong, and I'm— sticky!" He stated.
"I need you to get away from the canal!" The man responded. He flew off while the water followed him.
Luna curiously flew after the man. "Excuse me! I have— I have water powers! Sort of! I can help!" She shouted.
The man looked back to her, but was then distracted by something else behind Luna. She turned around, and noticed Peter struggling to keep the bell tower up. He hit his head against the bell, and fell to the ground.
Luna gasped. She flew over in a hurry, and reached for Peter before the building collapsed. She got him right in time before the building crashed, and right when the man had successfully stopped the water.
Peter sighed of relief, and stared at Luna through her suit. His expression was a mix of gratefulness and betrayal. Luna looked down at the flowers still in her hands.
They were damaged.
