After their first day of senior year, Luna and Peter lay down on a rooftop by the school to escape the madness for a bit. The entire day, they had eyes on them. Now, they were able to be alone.
"Can we just, like, stay up here all day? It is so crazy down there." Peter sighed.
"I miss that Squidward looking alien guy." Mumbled Luna, ignoring what Peter had said.
"Who?" The boy beside her furrowed his eyebrows.
"You know...the one who had the same powers as me and almost killed me a couple times. We had some good memories." Luna responded.
"Oh, the Maw?" Peter turned his head to look at Luna, but she continued to stare up at the sky.
"Yeah, totally! I think we really bonded. Too bad he died." Luna sighed.
"Man, this whole thing is really getting to your head, isn't it?" Peter chuckled. Luna finally turned to look at Peter. "No...." She trailed off. Peter squinted his eyes at her.
"Yeah— maybe." She pursed her lips. "Just-- what happened to traditional bad guys, who tell you right off the bat that they're bad and then when they die, they go in peace."
"They've evolved." Peter pursed his lips. The two sat in silence for another moment, before smiling at each other. Just as they leaned in to kiss, Ned barged in. "Finally, some privacy!" He exclaimed. "It is so crazy down there!" He took a seat in front of them.
Luna and Peter sat up, listening to the boy.
"So, I was thinking.." Ned set down his backpack. "When we get into MIT, we should live together!"
Peter and Luna turned to each other for a moment. "Yeah, for sure!" Peter nodded. "Yeah."
Ned held up an MIT pamphlet excitedly. "This is gonna be us." He grinned.
"Yes. Minus, the frisbee...and the smiling." Luna responded, staring at the photo of MIT students playing frisbee on a field.
"MIT is obviously the dream, but if we match up our backup schools, then, either way, we'll all be together in Boston." Encouraged Peter. "New school, new town. We can be Spider-Man and Lunar Eclipse there. I mean, they have crime in Boston, right?" He looked to Luna, who was now sat up, her arms hugging her knees close to her chest.
"Yes. Wicked crime." Ned confirmed. Luna nodded with a soft smile.
"Yeah. So it'll be like a fresh start." Peter concluded. Luna pursed her lips. "Fresh start." She repeated with a sigh.
Peter noticed her disappointment, then tilted his head slightly. "What's up?" He inquired.
"Nothing." Luna smiled again. "All good." She assured.
Peter returned the smile, then took her hand, intertwining their fingers. Luna looked down at their hands, her hair blowing back in the wind. She looked back up at Peter, then nodded. "I'm fine." She repeated.
Ned set his hand down on top of theirs with a smile. "Fresh start!" He grinned.

By the time December came around, Peter, Ned, and Luna all met up at Mr. Delmar's, where Luna now had a job.
They all had their letters from MIT, unopened. They sat by the window, anxiously staring down at their letters. Murph, the cat, brushed against their legs.
"You know, Luna, I support you and Peter's relationship but who is this kid?" Mr. Delmar questioned, looking towards Ned.
"It's Ned. It's—it's my brother. You didn't know this?" Luna furrowed her eyebrows. Mr. Delmar furrowed his eyebrows, then looked back and forth between Luna and Ned.
