Bree's POV
It's been close to two months of being Finnlays' woman as he likes to say. I'm his sunshine. I've been to a few games since the first one and each time Nora has accompanied me. However, this time I am on my own for this four game series.
Nora is finalizing some plans for how things are going to go starting this fall. After that she is going to meet with her two friends about the plans and pathway they want to do. I think they want to do some rental van for some areas around here, but I think on the East coast they want to fly around and rent cars.
Once I graduate and get my degree, which is in less than a month, the shop is all mine. I'm getting nervous that Nora trusts me so much with her business that she is willing to sign it over to me. I've talked to her about hiring some assistants and shop workers to keep up with the flow. Especially since she hired me on as a marketer and assistant turned into calligraphy designer. We're in the process of changing and adapting a lot of things. Our online presence is getting better too.
I am actually taking a plane today because I worked until midday and now I'm heading from the airport to the field. Fin was able to get me a car to bring me to the condo before bringing me to the stadium. While Winnie wants to know more of our relationship, she's been busy with her podcast and the hockey team. I've been talking to Khloe the most. Fin mentioned how he is closer to Brody in the sense of mentorship and having fun shenanigans during the offseason. They also both made it to the all star team last year and created a bond over that. It was odd and maybe fate that I seemed to fit more with Khloe than either Naomi and Daisy.
I rubbed my clammy hands on my dark jeans and fixed my Padres jersey with Fin's number on it. He kept his all star jersey from last year on his bed with a note for me to wear it. He even signed the second two in 22. I kept on my white tank top to show underneath, because I am not sure I want to button it up. I have on a pair of Vans per usual for me and I kept my hair in the lose curls from this morning.
When we got to the stadium I was shocked to see how bad the traffic is. The driver and the police tried to get me through as much as possible but I hated how much attention is on me. I instantly felt nervous. I texted the group chat with the three girls and Khloe told me she'd meet me by our entrance gate. Once I was close enough to the one way street I told the driver he was good and I'd walk the rest of the way. I got out of the car and began making my way to my entrance gate.
Some people pointed towards me and I continued forward. Some people also called out my name and all I did was wave. Fin has been posting me on his social media for about a month. While he has been busy with his games, he's also made a point to either come up on his day off or have me come down to spend the day together. We've recently spent two weeks apart which was tough seeing as he just got back from the East and some rumor sites said that girls were waiting for him outside his hotel.
That made me feel uneasy for some time, especially since I went on a midnight bender and got sucked into the past years. I think he used to allow those types of girls up to his actual room. That was last season so I am trying not to think too much of it because I also slept with a few people on campus last year. He did call me in the morning and could tell I was uneasy about something, so I admitted the rumor story and he said "you're the only one sunshine."
Reaching into my purse I grabbed my ID and badge to show the security and I was let right in. Khloe was coming down the stairs to me in a white flowy shirt, a nice pair of light jeans and some gladiator sandals.
"Thank goodness you are here this weekend. We totally need to get lunch and brunch and dinner and drinks while you're here!" I let out a laugh as Khloe gave me a wink. "Don't spend all your time sucked into his bed." I choked on a laugh from embarrassment yet from actual belly laughter. Khloe really doesn't have a filter. She and Winnie would get right along.
