"I don't know what I'm supposed to do..
holding by the ghost of you
..take me back to the night we met."
...
I looked up at him, surprised by how destiny brought us together once again.
"Why'd someone like you, be here?" I got up as I folded my arms at him, inching few steps forward.
"Why'd someone like you, pop up everywhere I go?!" he frowned in irritation.
"Dude, this is my boyfriend's mansion." I shot him a confused glance. "I'm the one who's supposed to ask you that!"
He observed me up and down, wandering my dress with a chuckle. "So you're not a Tomboy after all." he looked back at me with a teasing smirk.
I knitted my brows, kind of offended. "Just answer my damn question!" I rolled my eyes back at him as I tried to stay patient.
"What question?" his eyes narrowed.
"Why the hell are you here?" I sighed.
"I came here for a business deal with Matthew Alexander." he said as he picked up his phone from his pocket. "I'm sure you know him since he's your boyfriend's father or whatever."
"Ah, so you're a business man?" I curiously inquired, raising my eyebrows.
"Yeah, you can say that." he nodded with a jaded look as he started back at his phone screen.
"So you're not a stalker?" I teasingly smirked, tilting my head. "Or do you go both ways?"
He paused at me, "I'm not a stalker, get over it." And he eyed me boldly.
"Fine!" I stared down the sidewalk, playfully crossing my legs as I thought of gradually asking him things just to randomly annoy him."But still why, out of all people, the universe chose you to make a business deal with my boyfriend's father?!" I asked him, curious as a nosy kid.
"Relax! It's not like I want to be here anyway." he sighed with regret as he kept fixedly scrolling his phone just to not pay attention to me.
And that really got me furious.
"Didn't your parents teach you the manners of talking to people?" I questioned as I leaned closer, foolishly trying to snatch away his phone.
He held his phone up in the air so that I couldn't reach it as he gazed at me with a tensed look.
"My parents are dead." his brows then were knitted again.
Okay, this is getting awkward.
"I mean, you've been taught of it at some point?" I awkwardly blurted.
