"We say we're friends...

...but I'm catching you across the room."

It was almost midnight

It was almost midnight. Mikhail was resting on the floor, most of his body injured with bruises, tiny burns and covered in blood.

Marcus brought me all the medicines I needed to clean Mikhail's wounds.

"Shouldn't we send him to a hospital?!" I worriedly asked, looking at Marcus.

"Don't worry, he's used to getting injured all the time." Marcus coldly said, chewing on his cigarette as he headed to his bedroom's door. "I see he's doing better now. So, I'll go take a nap."

My eyes were narrowed with confusion. I guessed that it was normal for them to be in these kind of situations without having to worry about it or even go to a hospital.

I slowly turned my gaze to Mikhail, who was resting both palms on the floor as his sleepy eyes wandered me.

I glanced at his half ripped black shirt, wanting to clear his wounds but not being able to have straight access to it. "You're gonna need to take that off-.."

"Whatever you want." he hissed with a smirk, ripping off his shirt as he tossed it away. "It's already ruined."

I sighed rolling my eyes at him. And as I slowly wandered his body, I found an old burnt scar on his left shoulder.

It was faded in color, more flatter and a little bit softer than rest of his skin. It covered most of his upper shoulder.

Slowly my hands reached up his scar, stroking it with my thumb. "How did you get that?!" I asked, and he kind of tensed up from my question.

"It's a long story." he tilted his head at me, forcing a smile on his lips.

I exhaled a breath, proceeding to clear the tiny burns on his abs. "That explosion you got injured from, was it Don's doing?!"

"It was actually mine." he said with pride, lifting up his chin.

I stopped clearing the wound, glaring at him for a moment. "What?!"

He cleared his throat leaning closer to me. "I kind of burned down Liam's father's company."

"What?!" I shouted, eyes and mouth wide opened as I sprang up from my place but then Mikhail grabbed my waist back to him.

"Liam was in his father's company, so I decided to burn down the whole office with him in it." he said, and I was stunned my place, not knowing how the fuck to react to that. "Though, I think he and his father managed to get out of the fire with no injuries. Sadly."

"You burned down a whole building while being inside it and you didn't expect to get injured from an explosion that you were the cause of?!!" I argued, frowning at him as all I wanted to do was kick and punch him in the throat.
