"When you walk out the door and leave me torn."

"You're teaching me to live without it."

Running through the streets like two maniacs, making sure to be as far away as possible from my home, we both stopped near a gas station to catch our breaths.

Mikhail leaned on a red car, breathing heavily as he frowned at me with confusion. "What the hell was that?!"

I ran my fingers through my black hair, unable to answer the question. I was already too exhausted to speak.

I spotted a coffee shop few steps next to us. "Lets get a drink, I'm thirsty." I carried my backpack and headed to the coffee shop, while Mikhail followed me.

"You said you weren't allowed to drink caffeine?" Mikhail questioned.

"Forget what I said. I'm allowed to do whatever I want from now on." I stated, entering the shop.

...

"Wow, so you finally broke up with him.." Mikhail nodded, looking down at the cup he unconsciously kept circling with his finger.

"I guess?" I shrugged, not sure if it was completely over or if I was convincing myself with a lie.

"What do you mean I guess??" he irritatingly narrowed his eyes at me, I felt his attitude changing a bit once I brought up the subject.

"I mean that..I don't actually know if I broke up with him." I sighed, playing with my fingers. "It happened too fast. And he definitely wasn't pleased by such action."

"So you're telling me you just asked to break up with him and then you left?" he questioned, earning a sarcastic chuckle from me.

"More like forced him." I pursed my lips, awkwardly.

"Ah.." he mumbled, blankly looking at the floor for a moment then back at me again. "So you broke up with him."

I nodded, stuttering. "Yeah, if you say so." I said, taking a sip of my coffee.

"Shouldn't you be happy that it is finally over?" he knitted his brows.

"I am! I am happy!" I raised my brows, nodding severely. "It's just that...uhh-"

"That what?"

"My parents would never let that happen easily." I shook my head, pursing my lips in disappointment.

He rolled his eyes, folding his arms with irritation.
