"There's a side to you, that I never knew...
...all the things you'd say, they were never true."
Slowly opening my eyes, I found myself in a very dark basement, both hands and legs tied to a chair with a rope. My vision was too blurry and my head ached way too much. It felt as though I've been knocked out and tied for more than two days. But I wasn't sure of that.
I was too exhausted to open my eyes, I didn't know where I was or who I was with. But I surely knew that I've been kidnapped and that I was in real danger. I also wasn't sure if I could make it out safely.
My mouth was covered with a black tape, so I wasn't able to scream or call out for help. I didn't even remember if I actually sent my location to Mikhail or not, I got blacked out too fast and I'm guessing that my phone fell in Adriano's car.
Speaking of Adriano, I had no idea where he was or how the hell he didn't notice that I've been literally kidnapped the moment I got out of his car. It all was a bit strange for me.
Or maybe he planned all of it and I was just too dumb to figure it out.
Adriano is not someone you can trust.
Yup, it was definitely him.
Why did I not listen to them?! They were right from the very beginning and I foolishly acted like I knew what I was doing.
Fuck my stupidity.
But thankfully I had faith that Mikhail would eventually find me, he would eventually rescue me for the fourth time. I just hoped he was quick about it.
Suddenly, the lights were on and I heard the gate getting opened with two huge body guards entering the basement. Behind them was Adriano, holding a gun as he glared at me in a merciless way I never thought I'd see from him. It's like he dropped dead and was raised again with another fucked up personality.
He leaned closer to me with a smirk, taking off the tape that covered my mouth as I gasped from how painfully burning it felt leaving my lips.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" I blurted, frowning at him with terror.
He chuckled as he kneeled while looking at me. "So you're that pathetic girl who they have been searching for for more than six years?!"
My eyes met his gaze, and I knitted my brows with confusion. "What're you talking about?!"
"You don't know how difficult it was for us to find you after all these years." He said, getting up as he ran his fingers through his hair and then looked at me with a smirk. "We thought you were dead. We thought we got rid of you a long time ago."
"I don't understand anything." I nervously said, looking down as drips of sweat ran down my forehead.
"Oh, don't act foolish." he rolled his eyes, kneeling again as he aimed the gun towards me, digging it to my throat. "You know how damn special you are, Evelyn David."
