"The baby is coming"

Helen screamed as she held her husband. He was lost. It was early. Okay, he had to admit. It was just a couple of days early but he wasn't expecting his child until the following week

"What do I do?"

A confused Richard asked his wife. He didn't know if he was confused or scared or both

"Call Wanda. She's close by. She came to pick up something. Just call her"

He dailed her number

"No don't call her. Get me to a hospital!"

Helen screamed at her husband. He grabbed the keys and carried her into the car, crossing out every rule on his way down to Saint Louis hospital. It had been Helen's family hospital since she was born so she said. He prefers total care hospital but Helen didn't. When he first told her about it, she said

"That's a whack name for an hospital"

They arrived in the hospital and his wife was carried away into the ward

She saw Richard's missed call. She called him back. He didn't pick up. Since he called her just once, she figured it might have been a pocket dail or something. She wanted to drop by her sister's place since she was in her neighborhood but she was already too tired to. She decided to give her a call when she got home. Ken's wedding was just two weeks away now. She prayed her sister would have a safe delivery next week so she could attend the wedding even if she wasn't going to be attending the bridal shower. She got home and made dinner. She thought about calling her parents to check up on them but was quick to dismiss the idea considering the fact that her dad would be beside her Mom. She didn't want to have anything to do with him now or in the nearest future. After dinner, she slept off. Her phone rang. She grunted because it had woken her up from her sleep, something she didn't get so often. Richard. She rolled her eyes

"You know what time it is right?"

She said immediately she picked up the phone

"I know. It's 2AM in the morning but Helen said to call you first"
"Why? Is she okay?"
"She is. She just gave birth"
"Goodness! A girl!"
"It's a boy actually"
"I'm on my way"

She said as she hung up to get ready. She didn't need to be told the hospital her sister was in. She already knew that Helen wouldn't use any other hospital apart from saint Louis. She got dressed in shorts and a hooded sweatshirt and got into her BMW. She pulled out if her compound and sped off to the hospital. She got to the ward room

"Hey, I'm here for Helen. Helen Brandon. She just gave birth"
"second floor, room 108"
"Thank you"

She said as she ran for the elevator. She pressed the button. It was slow and she was impatient. She decided to go for the stairs. She ran up the stairs and into the waiting room. She met Ken and Brie there. Her parents were there too.

"Is she okay?"
"Yes she is. She's resting now"

Ken responded

"Where's Tristan and Tracy?"
"They are in the room with their Mama. You should go say hi"

Her mom replied this time. She nodded and she took a deep breath. She went into the room. Her sister looked at her and smiled

"He has your eyes. Want to hold him

Helen said to her sister and she nodded. One thing Wanda loved more than her cars were children. She would do anything for any child. She carried the boy in her arms and rocked him

"He's so beautiful"
"Just like his aunt"
"So picked a name yet?"
"Actually, we were thinking you should name him"

Richard said

"Me? Why me?"
"We've seen the way you treat Tracy and Tristan. It's more like they are yours then ours and this might just be what you need to start a family of your own"

Richard said to her. She had baby names all piled up in her head. What beautiful name was she going to give this beautiful baby boy? A name came into mind

"Wallace. Wally for short. I've always wanted to make my baby boy Wally"
"Well, Wally Brandon, meet your aunt. Wanda Arnold. It's beautiful"

Helen said

"Told you she was great with naming"

Helen added. Richard couldn't agree more. She hadn't held a baby in a while. Last time she did was when Tracy and Tristan were kids. She looked at them. They were arguing again

"It's a boy!" Tristan said
"No, it's a girl" Tracy replied

The arguments went on for a while. She knew better than to involve her self on arguments that had anything to do with these two

"You should get some rest. The baby is already asleep"

Wanda said, dropping the baby in the crib. Richard nodded in agreement with what Wanda had said. Helen needed to rest. He carried Tracy and Tristan out the door. Wanda closed the door behind her. She was much more calmer now that she knew that her sister and her new nephew were okay. She hugged Ken and told Richard that she would drop by on her way from work with fresh fruits

"You're leaving already?"

Her mom asked

"I have to. I have to be at work by seven and I barely have enough sleep"
"You's should get some rest then"

Brie said as she hugged Wanda

"Yes you should. Your work has always been more important to you than this family either ways"

That stopped Wanda in her tracks and she turned. She scoffed

"You know what Phil"

She said, for the first time in her entire life, addressing her dad with his first name. That shocked everybody

"Maybe my work is important to me considering the fact that it made me what I am today, no thanks to you"
