She woke up to her phone ringing. She didn't bother to pay attention to the caller's ID. She picked it up either ways

"Hey?"
"Wanda? Hey. I wasn't even expecting you to pick the call up. Are you okay?"

She took a look at the caller's ID. Hell! How the hell did Dylan get her number and how the hell did she have his saved on her phone?

"Hey. Do you know what time it is?"
"Yes, it's almost one in the afternoon. Don't tell me you're still on your bed. Oh my, did I wake you up?" He asked
"Yes, you did! What do you want?"
"I was thinking if you would like to come over to my place for dinner today. I want to make up for what I said last night. I didn't mean to pry into your private life. I shouldn't have mentioned Arthur. You're an adult. You can decide to hang out with anybody you want to hang out with. I just didn't like the idea of me trying to fix whatever distance is between us and you, trying to act like you don't care"
"Maybe I'm not acting. Maybe I just don't care"
"Wow, that hurt"
"Whatever. What time should I drop by?"
"You're going to actually come over?"
"Why not? I have nothing to do today and I can't stay bored at home. Besides, you're trying to build a friendship. The least I can do is help the needy"
"Help the needy? Wanda, are you going to insult me all day?"
"Maybe"
"Fine. You could drop by around seven in the evening or I could pick you up"
"I would drive"
"Drive? You know you might stay in my place till late in the night"
"I'd order a ride then"
"Would you let me drop you off in the night?"
"I would think about it. See you later?"
"Definitely"

He said as she hung up. Why was he trying to fix things up though? She asked herself

***

"Done!" He screamed to his best friend
"See, you didn't die. I would probably hire a chef for the night"
"There's no need for that. I would cook"
"You would what? I can't have Val eat your food. I would rather hire a chef"

He said as he grabbed his phone. The initial plan was to have a dinner date with his girlfriend, Val but he decided to make it a double date with Dy and Wanda if she didn't say no, and she didn't. Weird but deep down, Gab did want Dy and Wanda back together. They were like the real like Hardin and Tessa. They were perfect together, made for each other. They both still loved each other, he was sure of that but Dy left and she hated him for it ever since. Maybe she could probably talk about it tonight with him, hopefully. He thought as he placed a call to one of the best chefs around. He said he would be there by four to start the preparations

***

His phone beeped. He opened it. She had texted him. It was Saturday morning and she didn't spend the night at home. She said she was going to have two bridal showers. One was last night and the other one was the night before their wedding

"Hey baby, are you home?"

He replied

"Yeah, I am. What's wrong? Do you need me to come to pick you up?"
"No, I already ordered a ride. I would be home soon. Wanda came for the bridal shower..."
"Really? That's nice!"
"She didn't come to party with us. She came to hand over her maid of honor's dress to Beth. She said she would reconsider coming for the wedding"
"Wow, did you try to talk to her?"
"I did but you know how she is. She doesn't even want to talk to me anymore. She said she doesn't even know me. To her, I might just be another stranger"
"I really don't know what to do. I would probably talk to her. I was thinking of going to her house today but I called it off yesterday. I think I would push through with that plan and go to her house today since I'm not having anything important to do"
"Thanks, baby. I would like to tag along but that would just piss her off the more"
"I think it's better you just let me handle it. I would talk to her about it but I can't guarantee that she would be your maid of honor"
"That's fine. As long as she is present on the wedding day"
"I would let you know how it goes. Although I might not be home when you get back"
"That's fine baby. One more thing, tell her I'm sorry. I know it's probably not going to do anything or change anything but I think she should know that I am sorry for everything"
"I would baby. Don't stress yourself over it"
"Alright. My ride is here. I love you"
"I love you too. See you later"

He said as he hung up. He looked at the time. It was past one. He would grab something to eat at a restaurant. He thought as he got up and took a shower. He got dressed and got into his car. He headed to her place

***

The doorbell rang. She wasn't expecting anybody. It was just past two. She thought she told Dylan that she was going to order a ride to his place and why the hell was he here so early. She looked into her mirror and tried to fix her hair in the best possible way she could. She sighed. It made no difference. She said as she walked out of her bedroom and went to the door. She opened it. That was definitely not who she was expecting. She saw her brother at the other side of the door

"Hey, were you asleep?"
"Why are you here?" She retorted
"Aren't you even going to let me in?!" Her brother asked, shocked
"Fine, come in"

She said as she left the door ajar and walked ahead
