"You know you don't have to be this bitchy every time"
"I don't have to but I want to. That's my problem, not yours"

She replied to his statement

"Well, I don't care. Be a bitch if you want to. You would probably end up being my bitch again"
"That's why you want to hang out? Do you think we would get back? Even if you were the last of your species on earth, I promise you I wouldn't date you again"
"Whatever. I'd see you on Tuesday"
"If you don't chicken out"

Gerald hissed. He was already pissed. She didn't need anybody telling her that. She knew him all too well. She smiled to herself when he hung up. She counted from 3 to one and her phone rang again. She laughed. He hasn't changed one bit. He was as childish and equally as petty as he had been back then. Truth be told, she loved him for it. She remembered the days when he would walk up to her after work just to grab her waist and hold her because his day was hectic and he found comfort in her. After they broke up, she spent hours thinking and wondering why exactly he cheated. They had been so good together. They were perfect for each other. They were already talking about marriage and he went ahead to mess up. She was so dumbfounded when she found out. Her phone beeped. Her daily headlines were delivered to her email. Her work for Monday apparently. That meant she would spend the whole day driving about tomorrow. She opened her email to see what story she would be writing about. She regretted the action immediately. She was going to be writing about Dylan, Dylan Davidson. Of all people, her boss gave her Dylan Davidson. Why? She would rather write about the devil than write about her ex-boyfriend, especially this ex-boyfriend. She wasn't interested in writing about Dylan. She had a reason for not digging into him even though she could. She wasn't ready for it because as much as she hated to admit it, a part of her still loved him, a part of her still wanted him but she wasn't going to tell that to him or anybody else. She would rather carry this little secret of hers into her grave. She saw that he had moved on and was now doing well so why should she go to his inbox to text him about how she felt? After college, he had broken up with her because he was leaving the states and they had gone their separate ways. She kept calling and texting until he changed his phone number. This made her realize that she was acting desperate for a guy. It hurt but she had to bury all those feelings away and move on with her life. It's not like she had the time to think about him with everything he had made her go through. She really never thought about him yet she never forgot him. The emotions just stayed there, buried, waiting for the perfect time to come rising up to the surface. She sighed. What the hell was going on today? First, an ex called her so they can meet up and have lunch and get the next entertainment write-up has to be about her ex? She groaned. This had to be the worst day ever. She picked up her phone. She decided that it was a story Beth would want to write and she could just fill up the page of the paper with another fashion episode on nice outfits to wear for dinner dates that her fans loved so much. She would rather do that than write about Dylan. She picked up her phone to call Beth. Beth wasn't picking up and she wondered why

"Wanda!!"

She heard Helen call from her room. She groaned. She got up and walked down to the room

"Hey?"
"I'm sorry I had to tell your name that way, I know you probably don't like it"
"It's fine. You're still healing up so I would let it slide. What do you need?"
"Company"
"Oh wow, uh, okay. Sure. I'd stay here with you till Richard comes to bounce me off"

She said as she got on her sister's bed. Her sister pulled her close and hugged her

"You're the best"
"I know, I know"
"I heard Ken was at your place yesterday"
"Yeah, he was"
"I wish you both weren't siblings. You would make a perfect couple"
"Who cares if we are siblings? I mean apart from your parents"
"The world does, and don't tell me you have thought about him that way"
"I have considered it. You said it yourself. If we were not siblings, we would make a perfect couple"
"But you are,  so strip that thought off your mind girl. So, did you find a boyfriend yet?"
"I didn't realize that I was supposed to be looking for one"
"I thought we talked about this"
"We did and I didn't tell you that I sad going to go boy shopping Helen"
"I saw the way you carried Wally at the hospital. Underneath all this tough girl front is someone yearning for more and do not give me the I have all I need lecture because we both know that you do not have all you desire. So tell me exactly Wanda, what do you desire?"
"You almost found like Lucifer morningstar"
"Lucifer who now?"

Helen asked, confused

"It's a nice series, you should see it sometime"
"I'm talking about your life and you're talking about Netflix?"
"Helen, when I'm ready to get settled, I will"
"You're twenty-three already. You're getting old"
"You are thirty and you just had your third baby"
"Wanda, I am not old"
"Then instill have time"
"You really should have studied law"
"I think so too"

She said and they both laughed. This was all she wanted, a family that understood her
