"I didn't ask" Wanda replied rudely
"I know. Just for reference purposes"

Wanda scoffed and stood up from the bar stool and grabbed her bags

"Are you leaving already?" Lucia asked with all innocence
"Yeah, I am. I have things to do!"
"Things like?"

Wanda looked back at her. There was something about her. Why was she so interested in her? Who was she and what did she want? A lot of questions ran through her mind. She walked back to the bar stool and sat beside Lucia

"So Lucia huh?"
"And I thought you were not paying attention"
"Don't push it. What do you want?"
"From you? Nothing. I just saw you from a distance and you looked like you could use a friend so I walked all the way here to be one"
"I don't need a friend "
"That's what they all say"
"What are you? A psychologist?" Wanda teased
"I do have a major in phycology if that counts but I'm a district attorney"
"Interesting so you're going to what? Sue me if I don't listen?"
"Probably"
"You can go right ahead then"

Wanda said and they both laughed. For some reason, she felt lighter than she did a few minutes ago. Her phone rang and she brought it out of her bag. She looked at it, Dylan. She hung up. She wasn't going to talk to him

"Guy trouble?" Lucia asked
"Not really, it's nothing"
"Look, I know this might sound crazy because we just met each other but you can trust me. I don't snitch and I definitely wouldn't tell the media"
"Nah, I'm good actually. It is nothing I can't handle"
"If you say so"

Lucia said and she went back to her drink. She and Wanda got a little familiar and even exchanged numbers. Eventually, Wanda needed to head home. Although it was a Friday, she still had some work to do and she wouldn't get it done if she stayed here with Lucia till the wee hours of the morning. It was already midnight when she said goodbye and entered her car. She drove home and got into her house. By the time she got in, she was already dizzy so she dropped onto her bed and slept off. Another morning came and she was woken up by her phone, ringing. She looked at it and rolled her eyes. Gabriel! He was at it again, trying to fix something that didn't want to be fixed. She ignored him and rolled out of bed to get a shower. She was done with that and then she decided to fix herself something to eat. After that, all she did was work and work till it was Sunday night. The weekend did go by fast for her and she was back in the office on Monday. She got in and met Gabriel there

"Good morning" she greeted
"Nice morning to you too. Seriously Wanda? Ignoring my calls all through the weekend? I was worried about you"
"And now you see that there was no reason to be worried. I am fine, I have always been fine and I would always be fine"

She said as she got to her table and sat down. Her phone rang. She sighed, who the hell could that possibly be now? She picked it up

"What's up?" Wanda asked
"Something just came for you"
"What's that?"
"I'm sending it up to you now"

She said and she hung up. Wanda rolled her eyes and there was a knock on the door. She got up and opened the door. A bouquet of dandelions, a box of chocolates, and a card apologizing. She didn't need to guess twice before she knew who it was. She collected it, thanked the security guard, and walked back into the office.

"Are you seriously going to stay mad at him?"
"Yes, I am. He abandoned a child!"
"He didn't! He already has full custody of the child now. The only reason why Freya was with the child was that she was needed and now, she's not"
"Full custody? But Little Gabby isn't three yet!"
"Dylan didn't want to wait anymore so he went for him on Saturday. Freya is only allowed to see him as she pleases but Dylan decides on what happens in his life"
"Still, he lied to me"
"He technically didn't lie. He was only waiting for the perfect time to tell you. That is not lying Wanda"
"Stop justifying his actions. There is no excuse for what he did"
"Yes there is no excuse but are you going to hate him for it? Are you going to let him go again just because of it?"

Wanda sighed. To an extent, Gabriel was right but she wasn't about to be bought over with flowers and chocolates. No way. She was going to stay upset for no reason. She went back to work and Gabriel was left to tell Dylan how unimpressed she was even though she was. It was almost five when Nicole called her again

"Yeah, what's going on?"
"Dylan is here and he has refused to come up"
"Tell him to go away then"
"I can't do that! Stop being such a brat and come down and yeah, pack your bags. I think he's taking you out for dinner"

She said and she hung up. She slapped her forehead

"You only do that when you're stressed. What's going on with you Wanda?"
"Uhm, Dylan is here"
"He is?" Gabriel said, shocked
"Yes he is and he wants to have dinner with me"
"Oh, you should go then"
"Would you come with me? I mean, join us for dinner?"
"I can't. I have to take my girlfriend out. She's back in town and I have not seen her and I plan on doing that today"
"It's surprising that I've not met her yet"
"You will, soon enough. It's only a matter of time"

She packed her bags, said goodbye, and left the office.
