It, indeed, is wonderful
Especially when it's cheerful
There's gonna be times when it's tearful
From a memory or a future thought
Let things be just as they ought
If I haven't energy to grab my coat
Don't let a Christmas pass me by
Though I am weak & down I lie
Though I can't speak, hard as I try
As long as my heart might be beating
There's a present I hope you'll be gifting
By my window you'll be singing
Either that, or I'll be dreaming
Of a noel, long gone in the past
One that seemed, would always last,
Imagine a bubble, that'd never burst
I had never seen rain on Christmas
Oh well, it did come to pass
There he is, smiling like one with us
Here I am, sailing through yesterday
A lot can change in just a day,
Things are not as I remember,
I must have slept through November,
Now I am floating, in the air,
Like I have never had a care
There's a choir outside my window,
A thousand singers with each a candle
And I think that she did know,
To her son the world would bow
That's how it should be daily,
Such priceless time to be with family,
The only way to live is merrily
But don't you forget why it's noel,
It should be a thing you know well
With a star, it starts as a fairytale
The way & the light & that's all there's to tell
Let's hear the sound of the ringing bell,
All while hoping it won't take too long
Till we get to hum that Christmas song. So, I wrote this to be posted before Christmas but I was unable to. We're still in the 12 days though, right?
