In the race, you've won, you pant
You ask for rain, get thunder
Is it good or bad, you wonder
Wherever you go, they'll follow
And your pride one day you'll swallow
Can you drown in a stream so shallow?!
They are your dreams until you fall off
When you run, it's what you want
It's the lot you have that you grant
You seek the pain, get hurt
And after that, lose heart
Wherever you go, you were here

Can you cry and yet not tear?
They are your dreams, though you fear
When you try, it's what you want
It's for what you want that you rant
You fought for love, got hate
From zero to ten, you got eight
Wherever you go, you're afraid
And so forget, you have friends
Can you win and yet again lose?
They are your dreams to you they're close
When you quit, it's what they love
It's what they crave that you have
You sought friends, got foes
Not two or three, you got four
Wherever you go, they'll hate
And against your chance, they'll bet
Can you run from own shadow?
