DEAR CHILD
Dear child, how're you doing?
It's nice to know you're reading
Life is tough, believe me
But it's also fun, remember
The path is full of choices
And ups and downs and mazes
At times the words are shallow
In sorrow please don't wallow
This world, you entered solo
It's your heart you have to follow
You'll be wrong, you'll be right
Just make sure to keep upright
Dear child, your star is bright
Keep a smile, you'll be alright
Right here, as am standing tall
I'll admit, I don't know it all
Remember pride comes before a fall
In your ways, never cheat at all
Work hard and true all your days
Some dreams, fail...delay they may
But hey, life works out ways
Dear child, remember to pray
At times when you see no way
Never faith throw away
For it's hope that fuels life
In life you'll find strife
Be fair and do care
For life is stories and time
Made easy by some dime
Dear child, don't be wild
Always think before you act...
