"They're not heroes who demand that their names be sung for their good deeds"- Constino
I saw the sun burning, not a ray touched me.
I was safe in the shadow of a giant.
It was raining, I didn't feel it -that's what I was told.
I was moving while I was chilling on his shoulders he had me.
I have journeyed thus far,not a foot i have lifted.
All the battles I have won -didn't know they were fights.
Thought I needed no saving but saved I was before I knew.
While I took it for granted, i learnt my life was so blessed.
I can scream there's no heroes, not like the one I have known.
With my hero besides me, I always knew i was safe.
In the face of great trouble, there was no doubt I'd be fine.
We all need a hero and my father is mine.
Lord gave me an answer to questions I knew not to ask.
How I'm glad I had plenty, not a thing I did lack.
I can climb any mountain, bring to life any dream.
I am wise, I am thankful, there's no doubt I am blessed.
I had a colourful childhood and that's because I was safe.
There's a place meant for me in my father's house.
And there's room just for him deep within my beating heart.
He was always besides, I was never alone.
Father i'm so thankful because of you, I was safeHello! This poem was meant to be finished on father's day but I just couldn't find the words!! I guess I was trying too hard. Anyway, I hope it's relatable. Have an awesome day;)
