Ultear's mom Ur picked us up from my house, if you could even call it a house anymore.

Ultear looked just like her mom, they were almost twins. Their personalities couldn't be more different though. Nevertheless they have both been for Gajeel and I when we were going through tough times. I've been friends with Ultear since Junior High, we both have gone through so much since we met but, we have stuck together the whole time.

When Ultear's dad was still in the picture, she was a lot more involved with Ultear's life and mine as well. But ever since the messy divorce she hasn't been as available as she used to. I don't pry, it isn't my business but I can tell it's caused a wedge in Ultear's relationship with her mom. Ever since the divorce, according to Ultear her mom has been trying to fill the void by going on dates any time she had free time, which cut into their mother daughter time. Ultear and I were actually surprised she was free to pick us up at all.

We drove into Ultear's long curved driveway. Ultear lived in what I can only describe as a mansion but regular people would call it an upper-class suburban house. Ur won Ultear and the house when she went through the divorce, but I will never understand how two people needed to live in a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom household. Ultear's parents were affluent because they ran the town's water and ice supply.

I got settled in the guest room, which didn't take long because I didn't have much with me. I look at the clock and cannot believe it's almost 11. I spent half the afternoon looking through the debris. I'm covered in dust and dirt, so I head down to the bathroom for a much needed shower.

I walk back down to the guest room while brushing out my knots. When I come back to the room fresh from my shower, I find a pile of clothes with a note from Ur.

'Some clothes Ultear didn't want, hope you like them! :)'

I sort through the clothes, I can't believe Ultear didn't want these? It's not that I don't care for fashion, I liked to look nice when I could... I mean, I would like to think I wear the nicest clothes that Goodwill has to offer. But, I could work with these.

A knock on the door grabs my attention, "Hey!" Ultear came in a basket of laundry, "My mom told me to give you your uniform. She washed it for you." She threw me my school uniform I wore right before I took a shower.

I caught the polo and skirt in midair, "Thanks!" I smiled.

"No problem," She came in and sat on my bed, "My mom's going on her date with her new 'boyfriend' and she isn't even going to notice if we go or not." She emphasized 'boyfriend' while rolling her eyes with a disgusted look on her face.

Her mom was known for going on a lot of dates in the past, but more often than not they don't stick around. It is the talk of the town. Ultear tends to scare a lot of her suitors away, but this time around her mom has been seeing the same guy for about a month now. I really think it's only worked out so far because Ultear hasn't even met him. She has completely refused to even try or acknowledge his existence. She said she just doesn't want to waste her time getting to know someone who is not sticking around long.

Ultear continued, "I don't really plan on going to school tomorrow. You're welcome to hang out with me. I'll be in my usual spot." Ultear had the record for having the worst attendance in the history of our graduating class.
