Chapter 8 - Bestie Bonding
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hello everyone! Today's chapter is going to be slightly educational. Lol welcome to Heath Class 101. I am your professor. Everything I wrote in this chapter reflects information from my textbooks about the do's and don'ts of water safety. Hope you enjoy this chapter.

"Oh, Gray Baby," Daphne playfully slapped Gray's shoulder, "You're such a flirt! Ahahaha."
Gray looked at her with a neutral expression, "I didn't even say anything, Daphne."
She kept giggling, "Oh, stop it! You're so funny!"
"What are you talking about?" Gray questioned her.
I was watching their conversation from afar. I peeked over the side of the RV and tried to figure out how to insert myself into it.
Ultear and Meredy came running behind me, the three of us tried to look inconspicuous together while we all looked over the side of the RV together.
Meredy whispered, "Well, it is now or never. You go first, we will follow after. Just play along, okay?"
I hesitated, suddenly I was having second thoughts about this plan. It felt like it wasn't well thought out enough, maybe we needed to plan in more detail, maybe—
Ultear interjected my thoughts, "Just go for it!" She gave me a hefty push forward to encourage me. I ended up yelping loudly as a reaction.
Daphne and Gray both looked in my direction, Ultear and Meredy jumped back to hide themselves from their view.
"What was that?" Daphne scanned around the area in confusion, "That sounded like a dog in pain or something?"
Umm, I had to think on my feet, "Oh that's just um, a sea lion! Look!" I pointed in a random direction toward the water.
Both Daphne and Gray looked in that direction, looking for the imaginary sea lion that they will 100% never find because I made it up.
"Hey, I don't see anything." Daphne squinted. She then turned to me, "Are there even sea lions on this beach?"
"OPE, WELL, I MUST'VE BEEN MISTAKEN." I nervously broke out into awkward laughter.
Gray looked at me up and down. Probably admiring my new swimsuit. I felt a burst of mixed emotions; I didn't know it was possible to feel so confident and yet so shy.
Daphne and Meredy came skipping in, I kid you not. Skipping. I think that was their attempt at acting natural.
"Hey 'bestie!'" Ultear faked a high pitched voice and pointed at Daphne, "My mom wants us to go gift shop shopping!"
Meredy uncharacteristically flipped her hair and snapped her fingers trying to be sassy, "Yes, girl. Let's go shopping!"
I try not to laugh, I know Meredy hates shopping.
Daphne looked completely confused, "Me? Why?"
Ur came around the corner of the RV, "You girls ready? I heard you were coming Daphne, let's go!" Ah, she is in on it too now I see.
Daphne needed to keep up with her fake-nice act since Ur was here, "Oh, I would love to!" She turned to face me, "Are you coming, Juvia? My bestest friend?" She forced that last part and I could tell it was painful for her to say. She probably didn't feel comfortable leaving me alone with Gray.
Before I could even reply, Ultear spoke for me, "No, Juvia hates gift shops!" Not entirely true, but I'll roll with it.
"Yeah, absolutely. With a passion, I do." I played along.
