Ch 28 Wooden Spoon Fury

AUTHORS NOTE: Hello my sweet readers! I'm sure you guys are wondering why I didn't post a chapter last weekend, I'm so so soooo sorry! I didn't get to post like I was supposed to because I had to go to the hospital. I was in excruciating pain and as it turns out I had a rupture of an ovarian cyst. The worst pain I've ever felt in my life. Thankfully I'm here and heavily medicated. I did my best to finish this as soon as I could to share with all of you guys. Hope you enjoy the chapter!

It didn't take too long for the three of us to unload the boxes into Levy and Gajeel's living room. We were a well oiled machine.

Unpacking it all will be another story, but I guess that's a later problem for me when I'm alone. And frankly, where I'm putting all this stuff is a completely different problem as well. I had too much on my plate to worry about that right now, so I will just put that on hold for now.

My nose began to feel stuffy again. As soon as I walked in Pantherlily kept brushing past me, and made me wheeze like no tomorrow. I felt my breathing getting thick and heavy as time went on.

Since my plans changed from walking to driving, I forgot to stop by and grab my allergy medicine. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time anymore for me to run now.

You'd think with all the time I gained since I didn't end up walking that I would have the free time, however because we were more chatty than I expected I lost more time than I gained. Nothing wrong with it, but time management wise it was hard to get my list of things done as soon as possible.

Speaking of which, my next task was to head back to school for my meeting. The entire time I found myself checking the clock every few seconds in case I somehow lost track of time. I didn't want to be late to meet Miss Strauss about my college admissions help. I needed as much help as she was willing to give me.

It was noticeable that I was rather spaced out today. More so than usual at least. Not that I'm aloof by any means, it was pretty obvious when I was always lost in my own thoughts.

Gajeel would tell me that all the time, but usually I would be spacing out because I tended to revert into my out of world fantasies that only would occur in my imagination.

Maybe I'm maturing or becoming depressed slowly, but lately the only reason I'm spacing out is because I'm so overwhelmed and I needed the mental escape.

Gray might've caught on and noticed how bewildered I was becoming. He stopped in his tracks to check on me, "Everything okay? Is it the cat?" He gestured at Pantherlily pouncing on the couch that I slept on. I shook my head.

"Do you need more herbal tea, Juvie?" Lyon offered to me with full concern. Immediately following his offer, he glanced over to Gray and switched his demeanor to a smirk, "I'm prepared. Unlike some people." He gestured nonverbally in Gray's direction as Gray responded with an exasperated eye roll.

I nodded my head and accepted Lyon's tea. There was something about it that actually helped me temporarily. It was the best thing I could do until I could run to the store to get some allergy medicine.

After handing me some more tea, Lyon flickered his eyes at his watch, "Oh! I need to head out now. My shift is starting soon!" He threw on his apron over his shoulder and shuffled his feet to grab his shoes at the front door.

Lyon was nearly running in place to get himself ready to dash out the door after he had a quick word with me, "Juvie, meet up with me at the 8-Island cafe when you're done with your meeting with Miss Strauss and I can try to talk Old Man Yajima into getting you a job!" He threw me a thumbs up.
