Chapter 12: The Young and The Sleepless

Author's Note: This was loosely based on my own experience. I hope you find it entertaining, it really gave me a lot of personal grief at the time. But, now it is completely laughable.

My evening with my little robot son went better than I thought it would. Miss Strauss made it seem like the baby was going to be worse than it actually was. Greige was a dream to take care of.

Greige and I were hanging out together in the living room. He was 'watching tv with me.' Mother and son bonding, I guess.

I just followed the basic motions; feed, burp, change and repeat. Honestly, it was kind of fun in my opinion. Maybe, I'm just meant to be a mom.

Not right now, but someday...

The Sun was peeking through my blinds, another beautiful day. I was a bit hesitant on if I wanted to continue sleeping longer, but I felt someone tugging at my dress from the side of the bed.

I turned to see my favorite little guy, "Good Morning, Mommy!"

He jumped up with his little legs to climb onto the bed and gave me the biggest embrace his tiny arms could provide. My son was so full of love.

I couldn't help but smile, "Good morning to you, Baby!" This was the best way to begin my morning, I kissed the top of his forehead and sat up to stretch.

When I looked next to me, the space on my bed was empty.

"Daddy is busy downstairs!" Greige smiled, "Daddy said I needed to extract you."

A deep and familiar voice was approached on the other side of the door, "Distract."

Greige and I both turn our heads to the entrance of my bedroom.

Gray soon opened the door. He was holding a tray of food and a bouquet of fresh flowers, "Next time, son, maybe don't tell Mommy you're distracting her." He laughed softly, "It defeats the purpose."

"I'm sorry!" Greige frowned, "Did I ruin it?"

I smiled, "Of course not! You were the greatest!"

He proclaimed, "I love you, Mommy!" It warmed my heart down to its core! Such a sweet boy.

Gray gave me a sweet morning kiss, "We both love you so much."

I murmured out loud, "Mommy loves you so much!" I stirred around with the cushions for a bit until I realized that I accidentally fell asleep on the couch.

Immediately, I bounced up on my feet and looked around to see if anyone was around. How embarrassing! I wiped the drool from my lips, hoping that no one saw that!

Last thing I remember was watching TV with Greige. Wow, I must have nodded off.

GASP!

WHERE IS GREIGE?

OH GOD! I LOST THE BABY.

Where could he have gone? He couldn't have gone anywhere, he's a doll after all! I have to look for him! Someone has to have him! I wasn't asleep for very long!

Silver and Ultear were outside together on the other side of the sliding door. Silver was still working on the patio. As I got closer to the door, it became apparent to me that they were in the middle of a disagreement. Based on Ultear's body language, she was telling Silver off.
