[Gray POV]
The train couldn't take us there fast enough, so we had to walk. Not that it was an issue. Lyon was very quick and I didn't have trouble keeping up. We got there faster than the train could take us.
It was just harder to do in women's clothing. Walking on the side of the road as a woman was pretty eye opening. I cannot even begin to count how many times I was whistled at when we were on the side of the road. What in the actual hell is that about anyways?
We were nearly there. Just a mile or two away. That was nearly a piece of cake for us.
"So," I looked over to Lyon, who was so determined to intervene, "What is your goal here? If she finds out, I don't think that she will go for you. So what's the point?"
"I'm just trying to make sure my Juvie is safe." Lyon proclaimed. "Deep down, I know I'm not her first choice. But I think at the end of the day, if she needs me. I'm going to be there for her. It's how it's always been. Even before you."
He seemed so sure about himself and his feelings, "Why do you feel like you have to?" I asked.
"It's not that I have to. I want to." He explained, "I love her. She does love me back. I know it. It might not be the romantic love I want. I would ideally want it to be romantic, but I am okay with waiting for her to come to me eventually."
In a weird and ridiculous way, Lyon kind of made sense. He may be an absolute lunatic, but he meant well at the end of the day.
"This Bora guy. He's bad news." Lyon added with absolute certainty, "What college student pries on the innocent and young like my sweet Juvie. He is not worthy of her."
"And who is? You?" I raised my eyebrow at him.
"Maybe it's me. Maybe it's you. That part I don't know for sure. What I do know is it's not him. I would much rather see you as my love rival for Juvia than that joke." Lyon admitted, "If I ever had to fight for Juvia's love, I would rather fight someone who at least loved her as much as I do."
"What makes you think I love Juvia as much as you or even at all?" I crossed my arms.
"Well..." Lyon pointed at our clothes, "I mean, if you didn't would you be doing this with me right now?"
I took a deep breath to sigh and admitted it for the first time to Lyon of all people, "Okay fine, I do like her. Are you happy now?"
"Eh, not entirely." Lyon crossed his arms, "But, I'm happy I'm right about it. I knew all along you were a rival."
"We can't even date her, Lyon." I explained to him, "She needs to work on school to get into college."
"What's wrong with having both? She can study and still be loved. You can't deprive her of her feelings and emotions." Lyon explained to me.
Wow, he had a point. Maybe Lyon was smarter than I gave him credit for. "You know, I think that's the first time I've heard something intelligent come out of your mouth." I joked.
"Very funny, Fullbuster." He smacked my arm with a grin on his face, "So then, if you like Juvie too, why are you with Daphne?"
It was probably a bad idea to talk to Lyon about my problems, but honestly I've been internalizing all these feelings and at this point I needed to tell someone.
