Chapter 9 - Different
Author's Note: Hello guys! So this chapter is more of the aftermath of the last one and a bit about how our dear lovable idiot Lyon got here. Hope you enjoy it!

The warmth of the fire by the sunset right on the beach with Gray wrapping a blanket around me would normally make me over the moon happy. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to be here. I just felt completely mortified that I nearly died today in such an embarrassing manner.
Everyone was super attentive to me following the whole fiasco this evening. Even Daphne seemed to stop bothering me today. More or less it felt like everyone was pitying me. Not exactly a good feeling in my opinion. I didn't really like all of the attention.
Ur and Silver had to do the responsible parent thing and tell my guardian what happened. Gajeel completely freaked out after he heard what happened and now he is currently on his way over here. It was a long drive, and he wouldn't show up til tomorrow. But, I personally think it was overkill. I'm just hoping he doesn't go holistic and make me move out of Ultear's house. I'm overall embarrassed that he has to drive all the way over here because of me. The last thing I wanted was to make his life harder for him.
Everyone was next to me, gathered around the bonfire and roasting marshmallows on the fire. Lyon, who was on the other side of the fire pit, was completely back to normal. He really bounces back fast, like he didn't also almost die today. Throughout the entire day, he cannot seem to say sorry enough to me. He must feel guilty about it, but I told him I know it wasn't intentional and he wasn't in his right mind when it happened.
I've been a bit more spacey than usual this evening, the near death experience really had me stuck in my own thoughts all day. I didn't really do a lot of speaking, but no one seemed to mind it.
"So, Lyon," Meredy turned to face him, "You never explained what you were doing here in the first place."
"Also, follow up question," Daphne added, "Why were you covered in dirt?"
Lyon laughed nervously, "Well, you see... It is quite a long story." He began...

[Omniscient POV — EARLIER TODAY....]
Miss Mirajane Strauss was reading an email from Ur Milkovich, Ultear's mother. She was messaging to inform her daughter's teacher she will be out of class due to a family trip to Akane Beach.
Ur also mentioned that Juvia and Meredy from her class, as well as Gray Fullbuster from Laxus' class will be out of class. Ur asked if she needed to contact Gray's teacher too, but Mira decided she would just take the walk down the hall and tell him in person. She took any excuse to go talk to her colleague.
She quickly snuck out of her classroom to have a quick conversation with Class A's teacher Mr. Dreyer. They chatted for a moment, and dismissed herself back to her own classroom.
On her way back in, her class was as rambunctious and energetic as usual. She did not mind it, there was always more fun in chaos. Even with three students missing from her classroom, it was never a boring day at work in her opinion.
The bell rang, Miss Strauss started writing the morning agenda on the chalkboard in the front of the classroom.
In the back corner of the classroom, a hand was raised. The hand of a student who almost never participated, Mr. Lyon Vastia. Judging by his body language he looked very uneasy and a bit jumpy.
