"ACHO!" Haru sneezed looking down at the water in the school pool.

"Jeez. Besides the muscles you have, your immune system is pretty weak," I said, walking up next to him, crouching down as he is.

"All I wanna do is swim," Haru sighed.

"Yeah, me too. But you can't swim if you have a cold. So, take some medicine before it gets worse," I smiled, touching the water with the tips of my fingers.

"You seem to be more caring recently, y/n," Haru pointed out.

"I've always been a worrywart. I just don't show it often. Or maybe it's just that you're barely noticing, Ha-ru-ka," I chuckled, "No...but really. I hated how Rin spoke to you guys the other day. So, what I'm saying is, I'm overprotective behind the scenes, I guess it's about time I show how much I care about the ones closest to me," I messed with his hair.

"Huh, I—"

"Let's go inside with everyone else."

We walked inside and Gō was showing Makoto and Nagisa a flier, "A sports gym?" I asked.

"Yeah! I did a little research about how other teams practice during off-season and I stumbled upon this place," Gō giggled.

"Oh! That actually sounds great!"

"Who pays?" Haru grabbed the flier from Gō's hands.

"The club will! Who else?" She said with a cute smile.

"Should we go talk to Ms. Amakata?" I tilted my head.

"Yeah, I think that's a good idea," Makoto agreed.

"Sorry guys. I'm afraid that's not possible," Ms. Amakata said, sitting at her desk.

"What? How come?" Nagisa's shoulders dropped in disappointment.

"Well, frankly, it wouldn't be responsible for the school to provide that kind of funding to a brand new club that has any sort of track record. This reminds me of an aphorism from the bible," she pointed her finger to the ceiling, it says, "He who does not work neither shall he eat,"' Ms. Amakata finished.

"How does the Bible help us in this situation?" I sighed.

"Yeah, I agree. I don't think that proverb really applies to our situation here," Makoto added.

"Yeah...how are you supposed to eat a pool?" Nagisa tilted his head.

"So if we can rack up some accomplishments, you can get us the money?" Gō asked.

"That's correct! More accomplishments, more money. And easier it'll be to justify forwarding the funds to your club," Ms. Amakata confirmed.

"Oh, I get it." Haru whispered.

"You think it'll be enough if our team places in the Summer Tournament?" Makoto asked.

"Pull that off and they might approve your request at the budget meeting. But you'll need at least four swimmers. Just the three of you won't qualify for anything!" Ms. Amakata said.

"Just one more person...and I'll get to swim all I want," Haru said under his breath, "Let's get to work!" Haru shouted and walked out of the teacher's lounge.

"Looks like we lit a fire under his ass," I smirked and giggled.

"I finally found the perfect candidate to join our club!" Nagisa said while pulling us into the school's field.

"On the track team?" Gō asked.

"Well, then he can't join us!" Makoto stated.

"Look! He's over there! This is fate! It's written in the stars!" Nagisa shouted, excitedly.
