"Do you think what Kissume told us is for real?" Makoto asked as he, Haru, and I sat on the steps near the beach as we watched the water.
"I mean, it could just be gossip, y'know? He can't be that bad out of shape if he's still swimming," Haru said, untwisting the water bottle cap.
"Y/n? You're quiet. What do you think?"
"Dunno... It's not really my place to talk about it, y'know?" I exhaled and looked up at the starry sky.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Makoto said, "Either way, what we have to worry about right now is ourselves."

We stood in front of a fancy hotel, "HEY! GŌ—Y/N!" Momo shouted, we turned around, and Momo was waving as he and the Samezuka team walked closely behind us.
"Hey, what do ya know? We're all staying at the same hotel," Rin said.
"What's up, AiiAii?! How's it goin'?" Nagisa said, speaking to Nitori.
"Oh! Sousuke! Since Y/n is here, I've been meaning to ask... why were you two walking together by the station near our house the other day? Kinda weird..." Gō said that last part through her teeth.
Rin looked at Sousuke, then at me.
"Ah... What?" Sousuke questioned.
"I'm pouring my heart out to you and Gō and you're ignoring me to give Sousuke the third degree? THE OTTER (his old nickname) NEEDS SOME TENDER LOVE AND CARE!" Momo interrupted...thank god. He continued to say random facts about himself.
"OFF-LIMITS!" Rin grabbed Momo by the collar of his tracksuit and dragged him away. Not so much as a word to me.
"I should go..." Sousuke said, looking at Gō.
"Uh...Yeah."
Shit. Why didn't Gō just say something when we were alone. Why in front of the entire swim team...BOTH swim teams?
Now I look like a two-timer... Am I a two-timer?
Later that night, we all decided to go out for a bite.
We heard a familiar laugh coming from nearby, we turned and saw a tall red-head, "Is that who I think it is?" Gō asked.
"HEY! Gō, Y/n... sweethearts...we gotta stop meeting like this!"
"Hey, Seijuro," I said as everyone else said, "Hey Mikoshiba!"
"And who might this be?" Makoto asked.
"Ah! Let me introduce you! This is Todo, my university's top scout!" Seijuro answered.
"Seriously?" Nagisa said.
"I figured that I'd show him what the Samezuka team is capable of!"
"Is that by chance...Y/N Tachibana and Haruka Nanase from Iwatobi?" The scout asked Seijuro.
"You bet!"
"Wait a second, this man has actually heard of Y/n and Haru?" Gō questioned.
"In any line of work, who hasn't?" The scout said. "Hi there, honor to meet you both. You two have quite the reputation. The Queen Marlin and especially you, Haru. After that district tournament, your freestyle has become quite a legend. You both have been on my radar for quite a while."
"For a while?" I asked, "I don't compete, so how...?"
"You're famous among swimmers, they talk, I hear..." The scout said, "Not to sound preachy but are you two aware of how much potential you have? Can't let that talent go to waste. Stay focused and the sky's the limit."
