"You see, this is why I like the realistic Little Mermaid story better," I smiled.
"I like the fairytale better," Ikuya said as I sat next to his hospital bed.
"Haha! Well, at least we agree that we both like The Little Mermaid. Do you want me to read the rest to you?" I asked.
"I'd like that," Ikuya smiled.
"Mmmm, where did we leave off? Oh! right here. '"... Having rescued the Prince from drowning, the mermaid brought him to rest on the sand, just then, along came a young human maiden, thinking quickly the mermaid concealed herself from sight. When the Prince awakened, he believed the maiden before him had been his savior, so he expressed his gratitude to her. He had no idea what the mermaid had just done for him. And so, the maiden was—"'
"Hey, it looks like you're doing better!" Natsuya walked into the hospital room.
"Yeah, I feel better!" Ikuya responded.
"Hey, Y/n, thanks for coming by," Natsuya said with a smile as I stood up from the uncomfortable hospital chair.
"Of course," I smiled before walking out and closing the door. I walked down the hallway and I heard my name being shouted in a whisper followed by running taps on the floor.
"Y/n, I just wanted to thank you for saving him. I don't know what I would've done if..." Natsuya began to think about things he shouldn't have to.
I grabbed his hand, trying to calm him down from his thoughts racing in his mind at 500 mph,
"Don't think about those things. I understand you, I don't know what I'd do without my brother, too. You don't need to thank me, Captain, anyone would've done the same as me," I smiled.
"Yeah..." Natsuya said.
I let go of his hand, "I'll see you tomorrow," and I ran off.
"Except, it wasn't just anyone who jumped in... it was you who jumped in, y/n."

I stood by the doorway of the new swimming club Makoto was working at, holding a paper bag from a fast-food restaurant that Haru told me Makoto loved, "Sis?" Makoto mouthed as he stood up from a small bench where he was sitting.
I waved at him, waiting for him to come to me since I was wearing heels, I didn't want to accidentally slip and fall by the pool, "What are you doing here?" Makoto asked.
"Y/n?" I heard a deep soft voice coming from behind Makoto, I moved my head to look behind Makoto, "Nao?" I questioned, "I didn't expect to see you here today," I smiled. Yes. I knew Nao was here from the sudden call I got from Makoto when I was at the training camp with Iwatobi.
"We were just talking about you," Nao said with his signature soft smile.
"Is that so?" I chuckled.
"Yes, Makoto was getting me up to speed with everyone and then you appeared."
"Ah, you know what they say, 'Speak of the devil and...'" I laughed.
Nao laughed, "And she shall appear,'" We both said. Nao finished with, "I'm glad to see you're doing good, y/n."
"Same here, how's it been with you?" I asked.
"Well, good, I'd say. I'm majoring in Sports Medicine so I'm studying to be a trainer," Nao said.
"You don't say? That's what Mako is doing as well! Maybe you can help and guide him through everything," I smiled, "In an advisor type of way," I giggled - clearing up what I meant in case he took it as "helping Mako with classes." I know Nao isn't the type but still... I'd rather not have him think wrong of me.
