S2 - Episode 5

"You're y/n, aren't you?" Sousuke asked as I was grabbing my duffel bag to leave the boxing gym.

I turned around, looking down, "Yeah?" I looked up, surprised, "You're Rin's friend right?" I asked.

"You have a good memory," Sousuke laughed.

"Could say the same about you," I smiled.

"Aren't you a swimmer?" Sousuke asked.

"Aren't you?" I asked back.

"Yeah. I've been coming here since I was a kid though. What about you? What brings you around these parts?"

"You mean to ask, what is a girl doing in a boxing gym?" I chuckled.

"Nooo, that's not what I meant. You're good with the punching and speed bag, and yet, I've never seen you here before," Sousuke pointed out.

"Mhmm, I started a while back. I juggle swimming and boxing, guess our schedules just didn't line up until today," I smiled.

"Guess you're right. You have a lot of pent-up anger, don't ya? That's why you come here?" Sousuke asked as if he already knew the answer to his own question.

"Ha! Yeah. You can blame that on your buddy, Rin," I smiled.

"Rin, huh?" Sousuke whispered.

"It was a shock seeing you again, Sou. I've got to head out to meet my brother," I smiled.

"Let's train together next time!" Sousuke suggested.

"Swimming or boxing?" I asked as I laughed, "See you, soon," I said as I opened the door to the gym so that I could jog to meet Makoto.

Two lonely hormonal teenagers, what could possibly go wrong?

"So, you're staying with Haru?" I asked Nagisa.

"Yes, I'm confused. What were you doing at Haru's place?" Rei questioned.

"I think he stayed the night, isn't that right?" Makoto turned to Haru.

Haru began, "Oh, yeah. He did. I heard clashing outside so I walked over to it. Nagisa was putting up a tent, I asked what he was doing and he responded that he was going to see the meteor shower. So, I decided to let him stay the night."

"Yeah, it was really nice of him," Nagisa scratched the back of his head as he nervously chuckled.

"But isn't the meteor shower not until...?" I started.

"The fall," Rei finished my sentence.

"Oh! I must've had my dates wrong," Nagisa continued his nervous chuckling even more suspicious than before, "Heh. That's classic me!"

We finished practice later than usual and as we walked home together I noticed Nagisa not being...well, Nagisa. Quiet.

"Nagisa?" I called out his name, trying to catch his attention, "Nagisaaaa?" He wasn't responding. He really is in his own world, huh?

"Hey, Nagisa?!" Rei followed after I gave up calling him out.

"Huh?!"

"What's wrong? You seem to be staring off into space?" Rei asked.

"Are you just tired or something?" Makoto asked.

"Uhh, yeah. I'm pretty wiped," Nagisa responded as he scratched his face, chuckling nervously, "Actually, I just remembered I forgot something in the club room. You guys go on without me. See you tomorrow!" Nagisa ran away before any of us had a chance to say something.
