Arriving at the portal, we gear up and prepare for the treacherous journey ahead. Katelyn grabs her claws, Aphmau grabs a diamond sword, Garroth polished and sharpen his diamond sword and I find myself a very familiar weapon set of daggers, specifically, a pair I haven't seen in years.

My ruby daggers... My signature weapon from my teen years, before I got my 'current' jury title.. I mean current, because I was originally known as Anna the Fiery Beast, but then Jeffory and I got married and I took his last name and my personality shifted a little, since I grew up... Regardless, I used these before Jeffory gave me my ruby sword as our wedding presents. The hilts are about 10cm and the blades are roughly the same length as the hilt. They have a wide, yet thin blade and are really deadly... Not to mention, the handles have Tekko's or iron fists, which are thick metal rings used to leave more damage when punching someone.

Not only did I find my old weapons... I found a chest of things that used to belong to me... From clothes, to weapons... Even to a few paintings and sentimental trinkets.

I mean these were stolen when my house was ransacked after the Tu'La invasion. All of my belonging, that were worth anything, except for those I keep on me, were taken. I'll ask Katelyn about it later.

I only take my ruby daggers, and leave the rest for until after I have a talk with Katelyn.

Once everyone is ready, we stand on the wall, surrounding the portal.

"The whole story behind the construction of this place is amazing." Garroth exclaims.

"Of course it is. It's not every day magicks and science go hand in hand to make something this complicated." Vincent says, walking up to us.

Delighted, Aphmau calls out to him, "Vincent!" Before noticing the other person with him and growing in confusion, "Hailey?! You're here?"

I snicker.

"Hehe... Yeah, not exactly but still... I'm a projection. I am a Lord after all. Can't have my physical form here if I have a village to manage."

"It's good to see you." Aphmau states.

"You too, Aphmau." Hailey replies.

"Thanks to the combined efforts of Chad and Hailey, we were able to know exactly when someone left the Nether. This entire area is protected by a barrier that prevents anything from leaving." Katelyn explains.

"So, if for some reason, more Shadow Knights came out, they would not be able to leave without us knowing. This is mostly due to the protective nature of your relic, Garroth." Hailey adds.

"I'm glad it can be of use." Garroth replies.

"It's of more use than you'd think. Without it, we wouldn't be able to do anything about the Nether, but let it sit." Hailey says. "The relic of Esmond the protector makes this all possible."

"Alright. A few things before we go. This will have to be a quick trip. Our scout who have gone into the Nether for a few hours, have been corrupted by hatred. Those scouts have to be isolated for weeks after they return to cleanse them." Katelyn details.

"Sounds like fun." I mutter, trying to get a few laughs, but to no avail.

Ignoring my stupid statement, Aphmau asks, "Do you have any new information aside on the Nether."

"No. Our scouts cannot travel deep enough to find out. So we're really relying on you, Zane." Katelyn glares.

"What an honor." Zane rebuts, sarcastically.

"You will show her respect." Garroth says, clenching his teeth.

"Let's just get this over with."
