"You asked to speak with me... Elder?" I state, standing behind the meditating Elf.

"Ahh! You've come. I was wondering when I would see you again?"

"Again?" I look at him intrigued, before realising, "Let me guess... You're trying to mess with me because I'm desperate and it worked with Aphmau?" I reply, not giving it a second thought.

"Darn! I thought I would work with you too."

"While I can admit it would be amusing... I'd prefer it if you didn't. Aphmau has spent the past couple of years just trying to figure out who she is."

"What about you, though?" The Elder asks, "It seems as though when the topic of the Divine is brought up, you only talk about Aphmau's perspective."

I look down, smiling, knowing he's right. "What did you wish to speak with me about?"

"Your role in Aphmau's life. I know she means a great deal to you... And that you're planning on leaving hers for a while."

"I... I don't want to but there is a possibility it will happen."

"But there's something you aren't telling her."

"There's a lot I don't tell her," I explain.

"I'm going to call your bluff there."

"I tell her everything she needs to know... And if she happens to ask me a question, I answer truthfully," I explain.

"What's going on? I can tell there are things you wish to say, but can't say to her for fear of how she would react."

"I miss my daughter... Abby. She doesn't even know she has a sister, or an uncle who died, fighting a man who killed her father. Not even Erin knows about this stuff. I mean... How am I supposed to explain to my daughter that I had child with another man who isn't the love of my life..."

"Was he your husband? Her father."

"Abby's? Yea... Erin's father isn't known to any of us and I don't want to meet him. He took advantage of me while I was drunk and just letting loose for the first time in decades."

"That's not everything, is it?"

"You're good. I can see why you're the elder. But, yes... My dear friend, Emmalyn... I just got word from our home, that she was taken... By the same man who ruined my life by killing my family... Over a fragment of the Shadow Lord... Or Shad, as you may know him. And just to add salt to the wound, Shad's in possession of my brother's body and now has a physical form." I look at the Elder, take a deep breathe, before closing my eyes and apologizing, "Apologies Elder, I didn't mean to unload all my problems on to you."

"Don't be sorry, I asked," He smiles to reassure me. "What you need to do, is tell Aphmau about how you're feeling. It's eating away at you. You two have the same motives. Only difference between them, is yours includes finding your daughter. Hers is simply keeping them safe."

I look at the Elder, thankful for his kind words and smile, "Thank you..."

The Elder and I continue to talk for about an hour about everything. We start sharing knowledge about Irene, the Divine Warriors, and the way in which we need to protect our people and families, but the conversation doesn't last much longer when Aphmau arrives.

"Aphmau's here... With Alina. Something's up." I mutter, noticing a distinct difference in Alina's aura today.

The Elder lets the two of them in and they join me on the platform, standing beside me, facing him.

I offer to leave, to allow Aphmau discuss her issue with the Elder alone and in private, but she asks me to stay.

After the Elder inspects Alina for a few moments, Aphmau gets impatient and begins asking questions.
