Katelyn and Levin are on the ship, preparing to sail. I walk up, loading the last of our items, while Aphmau stands on the dock talking to Kiki, Leona and Liochant. Garroth is close to me, keeping an eye on the little ones.
"Are you sure?" Kiki asks, referring to if Aphmau wants Leona to come.
"I have Levin and Liochant. Plus, Leona's already been such a wonderful help."
Leona giggles, "But I am going to miss you guys."
"Tank ku!" Lilith and Erin chant, while Alina just giggles. The three of them throw flowers at Leona and giggle.
"Aww! You guys!" Leona coos.
"Well, be safe and make sure to give Zoey hugs from us." Kiki states.
"You better improve your storytelling, or else these little ones won't be too happy," Leona says, turning to Liochant.
"I'll be working on it. Plus it helps to watch how a professional does it." Liochant replies.
"Hehe! Good." Leona smiles, walking off with her mother.
Dante walks past Leona and Kiki as they head back into the village.
"All aboard! We're ready to set sail!" Katelyn calls out.
Liochant promptly makes his way onto the boat.
"It's going to take a few days to get there so we better start sailing," Levin announces.
"Right! Girls." Aphmau calls.
"Come on everyone," Garroth says, rounding up the three and taking them on board.
"Dante." Aphmau turns around.
"Aphmau. I'll protect this land. And the fragment."
"Katelyn has sent for members of the dragon ward to come and guard it, at least until Emmalyn is done researching it. Then, she has instructed to have it sent to the vault in the capital." Aphmau explains.
"If Zane is looking for it, we're going to need all the help we can get." Dante states, "I'm not sure how I'd far against a Shadow Knight."
"You'll be fine. Remember, I trust you." Aphmau says, smiling. "Bye Dante."
"Goodbye, Aphmau." He replies, "See you soon!"
After one final hug with Dante, Aphmau boards the boat.
As one final task, I go over to Dante and hand him a small charm.
"What's this?" He asks, looking at the small little ruby-like gem, surrounded by a silver ring.
"A communicator... Witches like myself and Hyria use them to talk to each from long distances. Give it to Emmalyn for me. Oh! And here's one for you." I smile, handing him another similar charm. "They're linked to mine... But not to each other sadly... Links only really work one way and you a witch on one end to use them."
"I understand. These a quite cool. How do you use them exactly?"
"Think about the person you want to talk with, and it will light up. Then you start talking and I'll hear it from the other end," I look over my shoulder and see Katelyn staring at me, "Now if you'll excuse me, we must depart. Good Luck, Dante."
I turn around pick up the bow, which I had laying down next to a pillar and board the boat.
Before we depart fully, I lean over the boat and yell out to Dante, "Only start talking once the gem shines! AND DON'T FOR ANY REASON SPEAK IF IT TURNS ANOTHER COLOUR!"\
