"So..." I question, leaning against the wall. My body's relatively closed off. My shoulder are hunched and my arms are folded, but prepared to draw my sword at a moment's notice. Not going to let my guard down. Not even around her.
I am met with a smirk, from a familiar face, "You know the rules. Information, for information."
"Mh. I was hoping you would play nice. Especially after everything I did to not only find you, but make sure no one else did after me."
"I'll admit, I do appreciate that, Anna." A smile creeps on my opposer's face, "Mh... You're eyes. Still as dark as before, but... Different somehow? Plus... You seem weak."
"I drained my magic and... it's taking a long time to replenish. If it ever does. In the meantime, I need to know where my relic is." I exclaim, glaring at the familiar women in front of me.
"Your relic?" The Boss folds her arms, curious about my statement.
"Please. I have no doubt that you know what I mean. I need that relic."
"Skystead. It'd be the best place to look. It's a new village that's popped up and grown quite quickly might I add. The lord there; she's made a few declarations that she's in possession of a relic, and knows where another is. That's two out of six. I do wonder where the other four are though. I have no doubt that YOU know where they are..." She replies, mimicking the condescending tone I previously had, "Considering your friend is Irene. And now it's my turn."
"Maybe I do. Strange that you gave me the information I was asking for first."
"I never truly repaid you for that favour I owed you." The Boss smiles.
"Finally warming up to me, I see." I return the smile, "what information did you want to know?"
"More about your friend, Irene."
"Her name is Aphmau."
~~~~~~/Aphmau's POV/~~~~~~
Having made my way through Ru'An, towards Pikoro village, using the Enchanted Forest as a shortcut, I finally arrived... Finding the refugee camp first.
In search of Hailey, I ask around, seeing if anyone knows where she may be.
"So... This is the refugee camp. Perhaps someone here has seen Hailey or Lucinda even. It's a good place to start." I mutter.
After asking a bunch of people, I grow worried, because no-one knows anything. All they did know is that, "after the Shadow Knights arrived, it was just a panic. The only thing everyone here agrees on is that at some point they were brought here by some kind of spell."
Spoting someone I hadn't spoken with yet, I walk towards him, "Excuse me! Sorry to bother you, but I'm trying to find someone. Do you happen to know where Lord Hailey is?"
"Lord Hailey? No. Now if you don't mind..." He cuts himself off, looking me up and down. "Wait... It's you. Isn't it?"
"Hmm?" I look at him confused, unsure of what he means.
"It's you, Lady Irene. I knew you'd come to see us! Truth be told, I almost didn't recognise you. If I hadn't made the pilgrimage to Phoenix Drop, I never would have known."
"I see... Well, please keep this between us. I don't want to cause a disturbance." I explain.
"Ahh, say no more, I understand." He smiles, fuelled with excitement.
"Thank you. Now, if you don't know where Lord Hailey is, maybe you can point me in the direction of Pikoro?"
"Certainly. It's just through that copes of trees. You can't miss it." He explains, his voice slowly loosing it's excitement, "It's the town that's destroyed and smouldering."
