Garroth, Katelyn, and Liochant are talking and taking care of Lilith and Erin. I'm standing outside the door to the kitchen, humming a little lullaby that's stuck in my head. I'm not even sure where I know it from but it's what I used to use on Erin to get her to fall asleep.
Levin, Aphmau, and Alina are in the kitchen. Levin is cooking for us all.
We've been like this since we departed, after I set us on course for the Phoenix Alliance Island. It's been a few hours since we left the Yggdrasil forest and something just isn't sitting right with me. I've been humming the song to try and get rid of my thoughts, but it hasn't worked.
What did he mean by 'It seems he's starting to take action?' I ponder. He... As in Shad? Maybe... Wait! The Nether portal... Does that mean... Has Shad left the Nether? I know Shadow Knights are able to... Not just Shadow Souls anymore... Has Shad?
My mind is spiralling, trying to figure out what the Elder meant by his words, but I can't conclude anything...
"AHhhHh!" A voice screams from inside the kitchen.
"Tsk. Levin." I mutter, casually opening the door and walking in.
"Levin!?" Aphmau screams.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"Anna? I'm fine. I just accidentally touched the pot with my hand." He explains.
"Oh, Levin!" Aphmau says, before turning to her daughter, "Alina, can you go upstairs with Katelyn and Garroth, please?"
I smile as Alina walks past and I open the door for her.
"Let's see... Bandages. Bandages... Bandages. Hmm..." Aphmau mutters, searching the crates.
"Um... Mom?"
"Yes?"
"Couldn't you just use your healing... "
"Huh..." Aphmau sighs.
"I'm sorry. I didn't realise that you still..." Levin mutters.
"I don't have any of my healing abilities anymore," Aphmau explains. "They haven't come back since Alina was born. Though, honestly, I thought it was a temporary thing. I thought that maybe after a year my healing powers would come back but they hadn't."
"I'm so sorry. I should've known that."
"It's not a problem. I did have a difficult time giving birth to Alina," Aph continues.
"Still," Levin states.
"Hey, even though I don't have my healing powers, I still can heal in a way. So through other means, Lucinda, Hailey and Anna-" So looks at me, before continuing, "-we're able to make potions to cure certain illnesses, but I just can't heal on command anymore."
Aphmau turns around and continues looking for bandages.
I open my little potions' satchel and start rummaging around looking for a specific item.
I look at Aphmau and smile softly. She's so strong...
"Ah here's a bandage!" Aphmau cheers.
"M'lady," I state, finally finding the thing I was looking for.
"Yes?" Aphmau stops for a moment and looks at me.
"Here. It's some burn cream." I state, handing her a little container. "Apply this cream twice a day for the next 2 days. Most of the redness and pain will disappear by then.
"Thank you, Anna. Now, stay still Levin," Aphmau begins applying the bandage.
After she applies the burn cream, Levin starts, "Hey mom?"
