Streams of lava surround us, yet it's still dark. We can see everything, but only barely. This is what it's like in the Demon Warlock's realm.
"Nice. He's changed things up. How quaint." Travis states.
"When I defeated him last time, I thought that was the end of it." Aphmau explains. "Have you been here before Travis?"
"A couple times." He replies. "Really love what he's done with the place. Got that whole creepy demonic look going on. I've got to give it to him. He's consistent."
"Let's get going. I don't want to spend any more time here then I have to. Let's do what we came here to do and get out."
"Right right, kill my father, then leave." Travis says, drawing his sword.
Aphmau smiles, "You sound more confident."
"The odds have never been in my favour, but with you two, I think we might be able to do this."
"You do understand I don't have full control of my power." Aphmau states.
"Yes. But, this is an advantage over anything else I've ever had before. I can feel him... he's this way." Travis says.
I draw my new broadsword. Something about this place... It's eerily familiar... And empowering... A strong magical field surrounds this place. My body feels... Magical... It's as if my magicks have been recharged...
Travis guides up through the realm, careful not to lead us into any lava. He stops for a brief moment and mutters, "He's close."
"Uh... Travis." I try to gain his attention, pointing out the laughing Imps to Aphmau.
"Travis!" Aphmau says.
"Definitely not too far now."
"TRAVIS!" Aphmau yells.
"What? Aphmau. Keep your voice down. If we're this close he might... Hear us... And send... He might..." Travis stammers, noticing the army of imps now surrounding us. "Oh Jeez..."
I look around, trying to count the imps, but stop when I see him. The Demon Warlock.
"Well, I found him..." Travis states.
Aphmau sighs. "What would I do without you, Travis?"
"Sooo helpful." I roll my eyes.
"Ahhh... Travis. My son." The Demon Warlock's raspy and breathy voice says.
"Don't call me that." Travis snaps in reply.
"And you brought your friends... The Lady Irene... And the little kitten... Although you're not a kitten anymore?" The Demon Warlock focus on me for a moment. "Hm... Strange. Still hiding things from them, I see."
"I'm not hiding anything from anyone." I exclaim.
"Hm? Sure... Why don't you join me little one? Like you did so long ago. After all, I am the one powering you right now."
"I will never join you! And for all I care, you can take those powers away. I want nothing to do with your evil."
"What is he talking about? Secrets? Joining him?"
"Nothing. He's just trying to mess with us." I reply. "Even more reasons to kill him."
"Hm... It's been too long, Irene. Wouldn't you agree?" He asks, moving his focus to Aphmau.
"If I never saw you again, it would've been too soon." Aphmau states, glaring at him.
The Demon Warlock laughs, "I've managed to change up a few things, JUST for your arrival. You should feel honoured."
