Knowing what we're going to be doing, instead of wearing my green dress, I've put on something a little more protecting. I'm now dressed in a cropped singlet, a silver breastplate, long black tights. I've also put on Aaron's old hoodie, for a little... Emotional support. And as usual, I'm wearing black combat boots, and 2 belts decked out with cool gadgets. I have a set of throwing knives and a dagger on one belt. The other belt has 1m of some durable but thin rope, a few vials filled with an assortment of basic healing potions.
Katelyn and Garroth finish preparing the ship, readying it for departure to Bright Port, while Aphmau begin training our girls on the beach. I 'stand' guard of the ship, Aphmau and the children, even though Liochant is there, since Garroth and I still don't fully trust him. I say stand, even though, in reality, I'm sitting on the wall of the stairs, watching the girls. My familiar, Phoenix is running around the girls, acting as an obstacle.
Aphmau is using stick to teach her girls to defend and attack with simple moves. Erin, Alina and Lilith are crowded around Aphmau, all attacking her with sticks. As much as I want to teach Erin everything I know, I know Aphmau is a better fit to teach her the basics and sword fighting.
"Okay! Try to block this." Aphmau says, looking at Lilith. She lowers the stick and Lilith uses hers to hit Aphmau's. "Good one! Alright Alina, your turn."
She does this with the three for about 10 minutes, before Liochant pipes up and speaks something on his mind.
"Pardon me, Lady Aphmau, Lady Anna, I mean not to question you, but isn't it too early to teach them sword fighting?" Liochant asks, stepping forward.
I don't feel like walking the 10 steps steps it would take to get over there, so I click my fingers, summoning my staff and teleport.
Liochant, not knowing I can teleport is stunned and is taken aback.
This new skill... It's really cool! I've been practicing my teleportation skills and I finally figured it out. I can either teleport to an exact location with the co-ordinates, like Lucinda did to move her house here a while back, or... I can teleport up to 5 times to any area within view of my starting position. It's going to be really helpful in battle, I just know it.
"Hehe! They're just learning the basics from me. I try to make sure my girls know how to defend themselves, just a little bit. I mean, sure they're young... But it's never too early. Plus, they're just using sticks."
"As the children of... High status people... they are going to be targeted." I explain, as the girls begin attacking Liochants' shield.
"Hmm... Well they're going to grow up to be strong ladies then." He replies.
"They sure will!" Aphmau laughs.
"Lady Aphmau, are you okay?" Liochant asks.
"I- I'm fine, Liochant. It's just going to be a long day." Aphmau replies.
Without thinking, I aimlessly begin starring off into the distance, watching the waves off shore.
Two new voices arrive down by the beach.
"Aphmau!" A voice calls.
Not wanting to speak to anyone, I ignore the new presences and continue looking out to the ocean.
"Hey! Kiki! Leona!" Aphmau replies.
"Kawaii~Chan and I put together a lunch for the trip." Kiki explains, handing Aphmau a picnic basket. "Please, take it!"
"Thank you so much! And Kiki, thank you for the party yesterday. I'm only sad I haven't had a moment to hand out with you and Kawaii~Chan."
"Trust me, it's not a problem. You have so much going on already. Especially with these two. Well, technically three." Kiki laughs, referring to how the three are inseparable.
