Scarlet Holthouse is an average sixteen year old girl that lives in LA, California. Her parents decide to spend their summer vacation in Tulsa, Oklahoma with relatives. Little does Scarlet know she's going to get herself into a little love triangle...
It was the day after my date with Dally. I'm in one giant pickle...I like both of these boys...it's a serious problem...I don't even know them but they are just....hot. Sodapop is so dreamy and he has the most beautiful smile, he has these ocean blue eyes and the most gorgeous face. On the other hand is Dally. He has these extraordinary brown eyes that glow, he has this bad boy attitude, and he is strong and fierce. I got dressed and headed downstairs, my family was eating at the table, "Morning." My dad looked up from the newspaper, "So...what time did you get home last night?", "I think it was 11:30", "That's pretty late Scarlet", "Dad I'm sixteen not six", "It doesn't matter...your still my little girl." I just rolled my eyes, he acts like I can't take care of myself. I put a bagel in the toaster and waited. After I ate my breakfast I headed for the door but my dad called out to me, "Your leaving already?", "Uh yeah...", "Where are you off to?", "Ummm....just out around town", "Hmmm sure", "Bye Dad." I walked out of the house into the bright sunlight, today was a hot day. I walked from the Soc side of town to the greaser side, I eventually found myself in front of the DX station. Sodapop immediately saw me, "Hey Scarlet!!!", "Hey Sodapop!." I walked up to him and immediately all my attention went to him. I just stared at how gorgeous he was, "Like what you see?", "Definitely." He smiled at me, "So Scarlet...I was thinking...do you wanna go to the movie house with me tonight?", "Totally!", "Okay I will pick you up at 8:00", "Alright! See you than." I went to walk away but he grabbed my hand and pulled me super close to him, "What are you-." I was totally interrupted when he crashed his lips onto mine. This kiss was...amazing, it was just wild. After a few seconds he pulled away, "See you tonight Scarlet."
~Dally's point of view~
I was heading to the DX station to hang out with my friends, I was almost there when I stopped dead in my tracks. In the distance I could see Sodapop kissing Scarlet, this really pissed me off. If he wants this to be a competition...than he can have a competition.
~Scarlet's point of view~
Okay so this is insane, two boys are literally competing to date me or something like that. They act like I don't know...but baby I know. They are both taking me out and they are both kissing me. WHY? I'm just some dumb blonde, in California no boy would even think about kissing me, the only reason they ever talk to me is because they need help with their homework. I am a complete nerd, I read, I study, I do my homework always, I never have a late assignment. Why do these boys even like me? I'm starting to question what their motives are.
A couple hours later I went home to get ready for my date. I curled my straight thick blonde hair, I decided to wear a striped pencil dress with a denim jacket. (Picture of outfit down below 👇)

I put on some makeup and bam I was ready, the doorbell rang and I charged down the stairs....but my dad beat me to the door. Sodapop was standing there completely uncomfortable, my dad looked at me unamused, "Scarlet Beatrice Holthouse, where are you going tonight?", "Uh the movie theater", "Is this a new thing? Every night you go on a date with some boy?", "He's not just "some boy" you don't even know him." My dad just looked at me, "Look Scarlet I'm just trying to look out for you and by the way that dress is way too short", "Dad quit being so strict..and I can wear what ever length dress I want." I glared at him and turned to Sodapop, "Shall we?", he smiled at me. I grabbed his hand and led him out of my aunts house, he opened the passenger door for me and than we were on our way. "I'm sorry about my dad...he's way too strict, he's old school", "Don't worry about it, he seems like a nice guy", "He is to everyone but me. He acts like I'm a disappointment to this family...it's unreal", "He loves you..don't think any other wise." I just smiled at Sodapop, we kept driving. The whole time I was staring at him, he was just perfect. He had the most perfect body, he had the most amazing face...it was just to hard not to stare. Once we got to the movie theater he turned to me, "Did you enjoy the view?", "Yes I most definitely did." He gave me his bright movie star smile and we walked into the theater, we got into our seats and moments later the movie started playing. After about thirty minutes I was already freezing, I had a Jean jacket on but I was still cold, Sodapop noticed I had goosebumps, "Hey are you cold?", "Just a little bit, but I'm okay", "Don't worry...I will keep you warm." He took of his flannel and handed it to me, I put it on and I felt much warmer. Than he put his arm around me and I leaned closer to him, this was one of the best dates ever. After the movie was over he wanted to go get ice cream, so we did. We got our ice cream and sat on a bench and looked into the dark sky at the beautiful sparkling stars, "So Scarlet what did you think of the movie?", "I liked it. I thought it was sweet how they both loved each other so much that they ran off to another state and lived their best life's", "Maybe that will be you someday", "Yeah that will be the day."
