chapter three

~Scarlet's point of view~

It was the next day, I woke up and got ready. I went downstairs and my family was at the table eating breakfast, my aunt turned to me, "So did you have fun last night?", "Yeah I had a good time", "That's great...so did you meet any boys?." My dad looked at her and than looked at me, "She better not have", "actually dad...I did. There was these really nice boys there", "Stay away from them Scarlet....they are no good." I rolled my eyes and my aunt looked at my dad, "Relax Seth...she's a teenage girl...she's gonna meet boys", "I can put and end to that very fast." My aunt laughed and continued eating her breakfast, a few minutes later Cherry came downstairs. "Morning guys...Scarlet you wanna come shopping with me?", "Of course I do!." I put my plate in the sink and headed for the door, my dad shouted on my way out, "No Boys!!!." Cherry and I started our walk into town, we were walking when we went past this gas station...I looked over and realized the boy I was talking to last night was there, it was Sodapop. I stopped and stared at him, he was gorgeous.  Cherry realized I wasn't walking anymore she turned around and walked over to me, "Uh Scarlet what are you looking at?." I didn't answer her...I just kept staring at Sodapop, "Scarlet? What are you- OHHHH I see!!!! Your looking at Sodapop!!!", "Shhhh! Will you be quiet please?", "Aweee am I embarrassing you?", "Yes now please be quiet-", "Hey Sodapop!!!!." Cherry called out to him and he looked over at us, I hid behind Cherry because I was blushing so bad. He came over to us, "Hey Cherry....and Scarlet." I came out from behind Cherry, "Oh uh hey...Sodapop", "So what brings you guys by?", "Oh well-." I was interrupted when Cherry cut me off and started talking, "Well Scarlet wanted to see you again!!!." I felt my face turn dark red, he looked at me with his movie star smile, "Is that true Scarlet?", "I...uh....yes...I mean no....I mean maybe." I was utterly embarrassed, I looked over at Cherry and she was laughing her ass off. I looked back at Sodapop and my eyes met his beautiful blue ocean eyes, "Uh actually...Cherry and I need to get going, we have some shopping to do. See you around", "Okay...see you around." I grabbed Cherry's hand and we started walking away, "SHERRI! WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?", "Because it was hilarious." I could not believe her...me being embarrassed in front of Sodapop was funny? "Cherry that was the most embarrassing thing ever...I looked like a tomato-." I went to turn the corner but I ran into someone, I looked up and it was...Dallas Winston. "Oh hey Scarlet", "Hi Dally....I didn't mean to run into you", "Don't worry about it. So last night I didn't get to finish talking to you, I wanted to ask if you were new here", "Well not really, I'm from LA, California. This summer my parents wanted to go vacation here so I'm here on vacation staying with my aunt who is Cherry's mom." He looked at me with his dark brown eyes, I'm not gonna lie this guy was pretty hot. "Oh that makes sense...I hope I see you around Scarlet Holthouse", "Maybe if your lucky you will." He smirked at me and walked away, Cherry looked at me wide eyed, "We're...we're you just flirting with Dallas Winston?", "Maybe...why?", "You can't like two guys", "I never said that I liked either one of them...I just like looking at them."

~Dallas's point of view~

I just ran into Scarlet...man she's pretty, it's a shame that she doesn't live here though. I walked over to the DX station and met up with all my friends, "Y'all are not gonna believe who I just ran into to", Steve looked at me with his stupid smile, "let me guess...it was the new girl that's been hanging with Cherry Valance", "How the hell did you know that?", "She was walking with Cherry a few minutes ago...they stopped and said hi." Sodapop looked at me with his icy blue eyes...I mean this kid has some pretty great eyes, "Wow Dally...I can't believe she even spoke to you", "Jealous much?", "No. She speaks to me too...besides I'm taking her out", "Oh yeah? Not if I take her out first." Sodapop glared at me, if he thinks he's gonna beat me at taking Scarlet out first....he's wrong.

~Scarlet's point of view~
Cherry and I finished shopping and headed home, we were upstairs trying on clothes when my aunt called up to us, "Scarlet!!! There is someone for you at the door!." I went downstairs and went to the door...I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Sodapop standing there, "Hey Sodapop...what's up?", "Well I was just wondering if you wanted to go out with me tonight....", "Yeah sure...sounds like fun!", "Okay great...I will pick you up around 7:30", "Okay sounds great." I shut the door and turned around and my little sister Rose was standing there, "I'm telling dad that your going on a date", "Rose I swear if you tell anyone I will-." She put her hand over my mouth...how rude! "What are you gonna do Scarlet?", "I...I will tell dad that you have a boyfriend back in California", "Not anymore...we broke up", "Well dad doesn't know that." She glared at me, "Fine! I won't tell dad....but you better be home at a decent time", "Whatever." I rolled my eyes and walked away....in a few hours I am gonna be on a date with a very hot guy!!!!!
