chapter eighteen

~Scarlet's point of view~

I was beyond mortified that I just kissed one of the boys I friend zoned, the worst part was that Sodapop saw everything. He looked hurt, he sadly walked away, "Dally what are you doing here?", "I'm here to see some action", "The only action you got tonight was kissing me", "I know it was great, did you see Sodapop's face?", "Yes I did and he looked sad, I'm on a date with him." Suddenly Dally froze and his face went blank, "I thought you decided to not date either of us", "I did, Sodapop and I aren't dating...we're just going out together", "Scarlet that's technically the same thing as dating", "Uh no it isn't...we're not putting a label on it", "I can't believe you, you tell us that you like both of us but than you friend zone us...and than you decide to go out with one of us. Cant you make your mind?", "No Dally I can't. I like both of you....and it's hard to decide which one of you I like more...it's not even worth it. Like I said before I'm not gonna be here long", "If your not gonna be here long than stop going out with Sodapop", "It's not that easy."

~Cherry's point of view~

Me and Steve decided to get ice-cream on our date. It was perfect, we talked the whole time. I was happy that we didn't go to that county fair in town...it would have been very corny. Steve and I were walking around in the dark when suddenly I saw the blue mustang parked on the side of the road, I froze, "Steve we need to turn around", "How come?", "Bob's up there...I don't want another fight to start", "I'm not afraid of him", "Well I am", "Don't be..he's not anything." Steve and I kept walking, we walked past Bob's car and within seconds him and his friends jumped out and circled around us, Bob glared at me, "Seriously Cherry! Your with Steve Randle?", "Just leave me alone Bob, we didn't do anything so let us keep walking", "Hell no. Your little boy toy hit me the other night", "Because you tried to rape me", "Did not." Bob's friends started getting closer to us, there was five of them, Bob looked at me with his stupid face, "Cherry your coming with me", "The hell I am", "you wanna bet princess?." One of his friends grabbed me and brought me over to Bob and Bob held on to me tightly....I couldn't get out of his grasp. The rest of his friends grabbed Steve, Steve was trying to break free out of them. Bob was an evil cruel human being, he looked at his friends and nodded his head, "Boys why don't you take care of Mr. Randle", "Bob stop it, don't hurt him." He ignored me and opened the back door of his car..I was having deja vu, "This time your not escaping me Cherry...", "Bob please don't." He didn't listen to me though, he pushed me into the car and shut the door, he laid on top of me. I screamed, kicked, and slapped...but I couldn't get away from him, "Bob why are you doing this to me?", "Because I love you Cherry...I want you to know how much I love you." He tried taking of my clothes but I started screaming, he put his hand over my mouth, "Know one can hear you Cherry...your mine now." Suddenly someone opened the door and pulled Bob off of me, it was Steve...but he was in bad shape. I was so impressed that he managed to beat up five socs, Steve and Bob started fighting. Steve was literally beating the shit out of him, finally he won the fight. He looked Bob right in the eye "Bob if you ever touch her again...I will end you....don't doubt me pretty boy." This night couldn't have gotten any worse, six socs laid unconscious on the ground and Steve was barely alive, I ran up to him, "Steve! Are you okay? What can I do", "I'm fine...don't worry about me Cherry", "I have to worry about you Steve...I like you", "I...I like you too", "Thank you....you saved me once again. Your a hero Steve Randle", "I try to be." Steve was in bad shape...he was bleeding really really really bad, "Steve..did they pull a blade on you?", "yeah but I'm fine." It was dark so I never realized the blood on his shirt, I lifted up his shirt and he had gotten stabbed in the gut, "Holy shit Steve!!! I have to get you to the hospital."

One hour later

I got Steve to the hospital, he really was in bad shape...I was so worried. I called my house and luckily Scarlet answered, she came down to hospital, "Cherry! What the hell happened?", "Bob Sheldon", "That son of a bitch...did he hurt you?", "No...Steve saved me...but Scarlet..he really isn't looking to good", "Don't worry Cherry he will be okay."

~Scarlet's point of view~
Cherry and I sat in the waiting room, after a little while she looked at me, "So how did your date go?", "Bad." I told her what happened and she looked at me with a face that read "I told you so." I was upset about everything that happened, "Cherry..Soda hates me", "No he doesn't...he's just confused." After about thirty more minutes Sodapop and his friends walked in, of course they had to be here. They came over to us, Two-Bit looked at us worried, "What the hell happened?." Cherry explained to everybody about what had happened, they all sat down in the waiting room with us. Sodapop wouldn't even look at me...I felt so guilty.

2 hours later

After two hours we were finally aloud to see Steve, of course Cherry immediately went to go see him...so did the rest of his friends, except Sodapop. He stayed with me.
