WHAT ELIZABETH HAS LEARNED WAS that no secret can be hold forever. She didn't know if she just realized that or if she knew it for a longer period of time but the it didn't take long for some skeletons to fall out of her closet.

Today she was woken up by a call. Which she tried to ignore but Mark insisted for her to at least look at. So she did.

It wasn't the first time the number called her. Not in the last month at least. But every time she just turned the phone off, and ignored it, pushing it to the back of her head.

With the fact that Derek hasn't come to work since his and Mark's fight all of his surgeries needed to be taken care of by another neuro surgeon. Who happened to be Elizabeth.

As for Elizabeth and Mark nothing could be better between them. Mark lived in oblivion which was good for the younger woman and Elizabeth was the one who put him in it. Mark and James started working on an important project which involve at least on neuro surgeon. So Elizabeth hurried in.

The three attendings stood before the interns and residents, the younger surgeons waiting for them to pick one of them to work with.

"Stevens. Grey." James decided out loud.

Elizabeth didn't roll her eyes at the name Stevens anymore which was a big step for her. When Alex's and Izzie's relationship grew closer, Alex almost begged Elizabeth to at least try to work with the blonde resident. So she did.

"Yes." Meredith whispered with a smile.

"No, the other Grey." Mark explained instead of his friend.

"Really? Great." Lexie smiled at the three.

When James saw the skeptical looks in the other's faces he decided to say something to protect his girlfriend from the stares. "She did an awesome job in there. So no rude staring." He pointed at the interns with his finger, making the two surgeons beside him chuckle.

"Call us after the pre-op labs come in." Elizabeth spoke to the intern, walking away with the other two males before they were stopped.

"Dr. Bourne, only one resident?" George asked the man.

"Wait for Bailey. There's going to be enough crowd." James answered vigorously before walking away. He wasn't a fan of the resident ever since he put Lexie down. He didn't see a reason why to be kind to him. Like ever.
