THE TWO SURGEONS WALKED IN TO THE HOSPITAL, Mark never stopping to ask Elizabeth questions. "No, tell me why don't you tell me it was your birthday?"
Rolling her eyes while she turned to him, making him stop. "I hate my birthday, plus it's just once day in a year. You're making it sounds like I just committed a crime."
Sipping from his coffee, his brows furrowed. "Why would anyone hate their birthday?" Continuing her walk down the hall when her eyes met Richard and Derek talking to a blonde woman.
"I just do, okay?" Nodding but not letting go of the topic Mark followed the woman.
"You're the new Burke." They heard their best friend says as he shook the woman's hand.
"And this is Dr. Mark Sloan head of plastics and Dr. Elizabeth Green head of pediatric department." The pair shook the woman's hand wearing a welcoming smile which she didn't returned.
"Erica Hahn." Richard introduced. "Ah, the new Burke." Erica's face fell slightly as the same words what left Derek's mouth just left Mark's too.
"Mm. Welcome. Excuse us." Derek says with a polite smile and left with his two friends, leaving Richard and Erica alone.
"Interesting guys, and by 'interesting' I mean 'ridiculously attractive' and have you seen Dr. Green?" The man laughs as the woman says and went back to her paperwork. "Do you hire on looks alone, or is actual skill a factor?" She asks.
"Good to have you here, Erica." The chief says and starts to walk away. "Good to be here, Richard."
As the three bestfriends walked down the stairs Mark asked a question making the woman beside him choke on her coffee. "What exactly is a gentlemen's evening?" The woman cleared her throat when the two men gave her a look.
"I don't know. It's an evening with gentlemen." Derek says with a smile. "Sound like strippers to me." The woman spoke out while she fist bumped Mark.
"No, I don't- I don't think the chief meant strippers." The neurosurgeon says.
"Sure sounds like strippers. Dr. Bailey?" The plastic surgeon asks as Elizabeth sends the female a smile while she walk past them. "What's the first thing that comes to mind when I say the words 'gentleman's evening'?" The man asks the woman, looking at his friend with a smirk.
