 season 6 episode 7 - give peace a chance

"I'm proud. I'm proud of my boyfriend."

────❃────

TODAY WASN'T ANY DIFFERENT FOR ELIZABETH GREEN, she woke up that morning went to brush her teeth meanwhile waking up Mark, giving him a little kiss in the morning before she got dressed, made herself a cup of coffee and waited for him in the car.

Although they parted their ways in the hospital, he went to see Richard and she went to the PEDS floor. Today, Mark and Richard were presenting a new thing in the Seattle-Grace-Mercy-West hospital and even though they now basically lived together, Mark didn't say a word about it to Elizabeth. He said it was a secret that she'll find out soon eventually and that the only thing she needed was to get to the board of ORs as soon as she can.

Well, now that she was walking towards the board, a little peace and quiet encourage her thoughts to run free. Oh, how much she tried to stop that. First thing that her minds came running in to was, how come she and Mark still didn't look properly for apartment. She loved seeing him every day in her house but the bad thoughts bug her.

What if Mark was getting tired of her? What if he thought that since James is living with them he could get some support when they will fight? What if they are going to fight?

As Elizabeth walked down the hallways she rubbed her forehead while shaking her head, hoping it will clear her thoughts. This thought went away, Elizabeth decided to ask Mark about it further after he'll be done with whatever he was doing. But then the picture of Jackson came in to her view.

She was lying to Mark for a solid weeks not telling him a word about who the resident was to her or in general. She took it that Mark forgot about their conversation in the bar when he was looking on Addison and she poured her heart out with Jackson. And it was true, he didn't remember and it was for the best if he never will.

Elizabeth hate lying to him, she was always thought not to lie to people she love. If it was her mother who thought her that fact while she was younger, she didn't know because she was so young when she passed away. If it was her father, and perhaps it was because there was the biggest chance, again though, she wouldn't remember because she lost conscious too many times. And maybe it was her stepmother who she loved as her own, but she would remember if the wise woman would tell her something like that.

And no matter how hard she tried to push the thought away, she felt like she was so close to her father because she was lying. Because she was lying to someone she loved. An arm around her shoulder pushed the thoughts away and when Elizabeth looked up she saw the smiley face of Derek Shepherd looking down on her.
