"GOD I'VE BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE FOR YOU TWO." Callie said after she opened the door on the on-call room.
Elizabeth's head was lying on Mark's chest, reading in the magazine about Derek's work. Callie sat down on the other side of the bed, looking at the pair.
"Do you see this? The Shepherd method?" Mark said, not ripping his eyes off the paper.
"Yeah, impressive. Listen, last night Erica and I..." Mark didn't let his friend finish, instead he was gaping at the magazine.
"Think they airbrush these pictures? The man does not have one pore." Elizabeth took the magazine out of his hands and hit his head with it, glancing at Callie.
"Could you listen?" Callie nodded to the other woman thankfully before looking at them both again.
"I need to talk. Last night Erica and I... we...We did it. Sort of." Callie said, scrunching her face at the thought.
"Congratulations."
"Good job."
The two friends said to her, making her shake her head. "No. No, no. It was not good, at all. I choked. I couldn't... go down there." A laugh escaped the young woman, making Callie send her a glare.
"I tried, but it felt so weird and clinical, like gynie rotation. I left this morning before she got up. I couldn't even face her." Mark sat up slowly, taking Elizabeth's hand in to his before he walked to the door.
"What if... What if me and Erica, what if we are a mistake?" Callie talked as Mark put on his lab coat, making the two women look at him surprised.
"Where are you going?"
"I can't talk about this." Callie cleared her throat before she looked at the woman beside him.
"I was hoping, Ellie would help me, not you." Mark stopped in his track, looking at the two women.
"I mean she's on girls and boys, she likes both. I just wanted to let you know I need your girlfriend." A nervous chuckle escaped both of their lips.
"He's not my boyfriend."
"She's not my girlfriend."
They exchanged a look, before Mark walked out of the door quickly. Elizabeth looked at her friend and smiled, cracking her knuckles.
