Kabanata 24

Since I was not sheltered by my own blood, I never considered the saying blood is thicker than water. For the life I have seen since I opened my eyes to the world, the people who sheltered me and gave me everything is far better than my own blood, my own family.

The Ocampos are not my real family. Ni isang patak ng dugo nila, wala ako yet they did not mind to shelter me. They did not mind giving me the love I deserve and the feeling of belongingness. Well and enough, they treated me. This is scenario that I feared the most. I am hearing their cries, bodies are trembling with fear, almost begging.

Just minutes after hearing the gunshot from nowhere, Geoffrey's men came, capturing my cousins and my three friends.

Ate Agatha was trying her best to be freed from Geoffrey's men. Eli was crying and Hilacio the Third mirrored a scared face. Szamira, Bea and Pastel were all serious. Si Calum ay nasa likod ng tatlong bodyguard na kasama namin kanina.

I heard him muttered a loud curse, when he noticed the red light pointing his chest.

"Let them go, you fucking brute!" I wiggled and exerted force to be free from his hold. To no avail, he tightened his arm around my neck.

"No. Not until your family cried and begged on bended knees. Then I will kill you."

"Geoffrey, let them go. Huwag mo nang palakihin ito!" the other guy said with gritted teeth as he pointed a gun to us, to Geoffrey.
