Kabanata 10

Isang katok mula sa pinto ng aking silid ang nagpalingon sa akin mula sa pag-aayos ng aking kilay. It's a fine morning two weeks after I and Ishmael happened in the social media.

"What is it this time, Shawn?" tanong ko sa kapatid na sumandal sa doorframe, bihis na at handa na yatang pumasok.

"Your fake boyfriend is here to fetch you," maangas at mapait niyang sabi.

Believe it or not, yes, Ishmael is now my fake boyfriend in the eyes of my family. But in the eyes of his fans, my fans and my bashers, he is my boyfriend.

Well, I don't know how it happened. It's just happened. Maybe because of the picture my hell of a cousin posted that's why the whole social media community believe that I and Ishmael have some sort of relationship.

And since I am too lazy and tired explaining things, I let it be. I won't make it a problem for now because I am still thinking the final list for the national team pool. Iyon muna sa ngayon. Anytime from this day, the federation will release it.

"Tell him to wait," balewala kong sabi.

"He's having breakfast with us. Mommy invited him," lalo kong mas nahimigan ng pait ang aking kapatid. Binalewala ko naman iyon because I am still busy making magic on my kilay.

I heard him let out a deep breathe, like he's not pleased or what, "Do you have to agree with Lolo's nonsense idea, Duchess Chrishane?"

Umirap ako sa aking reflection sa salamin.

Dalawang linggo na namin itong pinagtatalunan ng mga idiots at hanggang ngayon, hindi pa rin sila sang-ayon. I really hate arguments with the idiots.

Muli akong umirap at ibinaba ang kolereteng inililagay ko sa aking kilay. Nilingon ang kapatid na naka-krus ang kamay sa dibdib habang nakasandal sa hamba ng pinto.

"Will you stop it na, Shawn? It's been two weeks since Ishmael happened. And how many times do I have to tell you that this is nothing? It won't be a problem."

Talaga D? Hindi ito magiging problema?

"Alam mong umpisa pa lamang, problema na ang dala ng Cherubin na iyon."

"Jezz, Shawn. Lolo won't think of this if it'll be a problem in the future. If it will, do you think Hilacio Ocampo Sr. will let me hanging? I am Lolo's most favorite apo. Don't think too much."

"I don't know with you and with your thinking, D," he said and stood up straight, eyes still serious, not leaving me. "Bumaba ka na roon. Breakfast is ready."

Tumango at ngumisi lang ako sa kaniya. Tinapos ang ginagawa sa aking mukha and when I am satisfied, I went down for breakfast.

Like the usual morning, Hilacio the Third and Queen Elizabeth's voices were echoing in the corners of the dinning. Hilacio the Third is the loudest.

I don't know with these two! Dito na yata titira sa amin!

"Good morning D! Ang gwapo ng boyfriend mo sa umaga!"

"Morning, Hilacio the Third." bati ko matapos batiin ng halik si Mommy at si Daddy.

"Hilary nga kasi D! Napaka-bastos ng bunganga mo!"
