Y/N POV:

"I have to go to the bathroom," Wanda says excusing herself. As soon as she's out of sight I take huge breath out. Oh god I didn't realize how nervous I was. This shouldn't be different than any other time we've hung out, but I think just labeling it a date makes me feel anxious.

I don't have the best luck when it comes to dating, but this is going well. I know Wanda and I like her, it's easy. For once I don't have to struggle to figure out what to say, or which topic is appropriate to talk about. We just talk about whatever is on our minds, and I love that.

She never interrupts me when I have a random thought, actually she encourages them by turning a random thought into a conversation.

I sink down in my chair a bit, just taking a moment to relax before she's back. Not that I can't relax while she's there, I just want to seem like a good date.

When I first ran in here, I took in her looks, and I thought I was going to pass out. Not just because I ran to the restaurant but because she is so hot. Like how can a person be that attractive? Should be illegal or something...and I'm on a date with her. Oh dear, how did I ever get a date with someone so-

"Well hello Y/N. What are you doing here?" I feel a small tap on my shoulder. I turn to my side in horror, I think I know that voice.

"Dean Lewis hello, I am just out with a friend... What about you? What brings you here?" What the fuck are our chances right now?

"Me and the wife are out with and a couple of friends." He points over to the table, where the rest of them are seated, in clear view of our table. We are screwed.

"I heard you were doing well so far this week, I'm glad you are back on track again. How are you holding up?" Please leave sir.

"Oh, you know, it isn't easy, but everyday gets a little better, and I have a good friend to keep me company, who makes sure I'm alright, so you know I'm hanging in there."

"That's fantastic Y/N, I'm glad to hear it." He gives me a comforting smile. I hate being pitied.

"You should probably get back to your wife, and I should see if my friend is doing alright." I say gathering my things.

"Yes of course, enjoy the rest of your evening." Thank god he's leaving.

"Thank you, you too Dean Lewis." I take Wanda's purse and coat, that she left behind as well and hurry to the bar. Please don't come back, please don't come back, please don't come back. I beg you Wanda stay in the bathroom.

"Hey, something came up and I was just wondering if I could quickly pay for our meal now?" My voice sounds stressed. I am stressed.

"Yes of course miss, just give me a second." He starts typing in our order, and I quickly pay as soon as he tells me the amount (leaving a generous tip of course). I run in the direction of the bathroom, and crash into Wanda who was just leaving.

I push her back through the door and into a stall, just in case the wife comes in. "What are you doing?" She asks with a mischievous grin.

"Oh no, it's not- listen...Dean Lewis is out in the restaurant, we need to leave."

"The Dean is here?" I nod my head frantically.

"Shit, what do we do?" Her voice is more nervous than mine, and I get it she could lose her job.

"This is what we'll do, I already paid for our meal so we can just go, I'll leave first, then you wait 10 minuets and walk out making sure to walk by the bar and out, not the other way. We'll meet in the park around the corner." She gives me a firm nod and an ever so quick kiss before I leave.

I practically run out of the building and down the street, just hoping nobody sees Wanda. In the park I find a swing set where I sit down and take a few deep breaths. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. Then I wait.

Finally I see Wanda, she spots me and comes all the way up to me, pulling me up from the swing. The air is cool, and it's practically snowing. I hide in her as she pulls me in a tight embrace. When we pull away, we're both laughing, "what's our luck?" She is almost out of breath.

"We don't have any."

"We found each other..."

"So maybe we're luckier than we think."

Warm air hits my face as she chuckles, and her hand comes up under my chin. Pulling me up to her face. Her eyes are glistening in the streetlight, and I get lost in them for a moment that feels like forever. I take my hands under her open coat holding under her arms and up her back, holding onto her shoulders. Her lips slowly meet mine. They are soft and smooth, just like they always are. She kisses me and a chill runs down my spine.

It's like the ground under me crumbles away and we are floating. Up in the air. Everything just feels right. But even as we stand here, I can't help but feel a sense of harmonia. Everything seems so perfect right now, almost too perfect you know.
