I arrived at Mary's house and knocked at the door.
"Hey Peyton" she said after opening the door.
"Hey Mary, thanks for letting me come" I hugged her.
We went to her living room and we sat on the couch.
"Oh wait I forgot the hot chocolates"
I laughed and she came back with two cups.
"Here"
"Thank you"
"So what do you want to tell me ?"
"Well you know that Jacob and I used to be the best of friends" she nods, "I know him since five years and I always felt something for him. And I don't know how to act around him I mean imagine he tells me he has a girlfriend, I don't know how I will react."
"Peyton calm down. You've known him for five years and I'm sure he cares about you. And if he has a girlfriend, which he doesn't because Tanner would known, you will react as you always did. You put the others happiness before yours and if it gets too hard, you'll tell me and we will make up a lie so you can leave."
"Yeah you're right"
"I'm always right"
"Yeah, so let's talk about you now. How are you and Tanner ?"
"Pretty good, we're planning to move in together next month"
"That's amazing Mary. Well I should go, see you in two days for the trip ?" I put the cup down on her table.
"Bye Peyton" she smiled at me.
"Bye Mary"
This night, I lay down on my bed and took a deep breath.
Nothing would happen on this trip, right ?
