~ I'm sorry this took so long and I'm sorry it's not as good as it could have been but I've been trying to sort ly life out and yeah, I'm sorry ~

He can't hear what the blue haired boy is saying, but Luke can tell that Michael is actually getting through to Ashton, who keeps looking up from his book and nod. Seemingly happy with the outcome, Michael then turns around and walks off, winking at Luke as he walks past him. No words are exchanged between the two friends, no words are needed. Luke knows he owes Michael now, that the older of the two can, at any time, ask Luke to return the favor.

"Hi Luke." Ashton comes up to him just as Luke closes his locker, kicking it once for good measure before turning around. "so you know how we usually hang out on saturdays? Well I kinda have a date tomorrow and like...I'm gonna have to cancel our thing."

"that's cool." Luke says, smiling. He already knew about the date, not from Ashton but from Calum who had heard it from Mali, whose friend's sister were the one Ashton had a date with. In reality, nothing about Ashton cancelling on him is cool with Luke but he can't exactly say that, it would ruin everything.

"oh, good." Ashton doesn't even try to hide the relief, or maybe he does and he just suck at it, and Luke bites the inside of his cheek to make sure what he's feeling doesn't show on his face. "I was worried you'd be upset."

"'f course not silly." Luke punches Ashton's shoulder, not hard enough for it to hurt but hard enough for it to prove that he's totally cool with Ashton ditching him for a girl.

"this is why you're my best friend!" Ashton exclaims, reaching up to give Luke a kiss on the cheek before walking, more like skipping, off towards the exit. Luke watches him leave, a mixture of fondness and jealously filling him, and once he's sure Ashton will have left the yard he heads towards the door too. It doesn't matter how long they've known each other, how close they are, there's still nothing more awkward than saying goodbye only to run into each other a few minutes later, at least not according to Luke.

"Luke! Lucas! Lucifer!" Luke's almost made it to his bike when he hears the voice and turns around. "over here you dipshit!" his eyes finally finding the source of the voice, he walks over to where Michael's leaning against a tree.

"What do you want Clifford?" Luke asks, glaring at him. It's strange, how they can go from being almost as close as Luke and Ashton or Calum and Michael to hating each other in no time, but that's just how it is.

"let you know what I told Ashton and when he'll be where, obviously." Michael says, rolling his eyes and pulling out a pack of cigarettes from his jacket.

"don't smoke around me."

"whatever, so the last tour of the Haunted House is at eleven forty five tomorrow, I've told Louise and Emma that I have someone who really wants to try and scare people, that's you by the way, so they'll take off at around eleven thirty and you need to be there by then." Michael pauses, taking out a cig before putting the pack back in his pocket. "Ashton and his girl will be there, I told him the last one is the best and he took my word for it, and I'll just leave it up to you from there. That was the deal, wasn't it?"

"yeah." Luke nods, amazed by how well Michael planned this, and watches as the blue haired boy in front of him puts the cancer stick between his lips and lights it, completely ignoring what Luke said earlier about not smoking around him. Even though he'd never admit it, Luke have thought of kissing Michael. Who can blame him though, those lips of his are just so red and plump and kissable, if he did. Not that he will, no Luke will never kiss Michael, simply because he smokes.
