[WARNINGS: Oral s*x, I'll let you know when that starts if you don't want to read that stuff]

Calum fucked up. He fucked up big time and he knows it, of course he knows.

It's not like they've never had a fight before, they fight over little things almost every day and it always ends with them making up, but he can't see that happening now, not this time.

Not after what he did.

Laying in the big much too big bed, staring at the empty space next to him, he can't even remember what started it, what made them so angry and what led to him doing the unforgivable, the thing he had promised he'd never do.

He needs to talk to someone, to try to work out a way to set this all right again, but the person he usually talks to about his problems is the one he's hurt in the worst way possible. He could probably go to Michael because the chances of the older man sleeping are pretty much none-existent with him rarely falling asleep before five in the morning. Calum doesn't even have to close his eyes to be able to picture Michael laying on a bed just like the one Calum's in right now, still fully dressed in the clothes he wore onstage, a laptop on his tummy and headphones on even though the walls between the hotel rooms probably are soundproof. But he doesn't want to talk to Michael, he doesn't want to put his friend in a situation where he has to pick a side, knowing fully well who's side Calum himself would be on, is on. He despises himself for what he did, wants nothing more than to go back in time and stop himself from doing it. He knows now, having had a chance to calm down and think things over, that he was completely wrong to react like he did, to get angry with Ashton for something as stupid as taking his towel. It didn't stop there, no from there it just grew and they both brought up worse and worse things until Calum finally snapped and punched Ashton, or at least attempted to punch him. Ashton must have somehow seen it coming and managed to move out of the way just enough for Calum's fist to graze his cheek instead of landing square on his nose as he had intended.

Once Calum's arm had fallen to his side again they just stood there staring at each other, hurt and disappointment visible in Ashton's eyes, before the older man turned around and left the room without saying a word.

Finally, having laid on the bed going over what happened over and over again for hours, Calum gets up. He has a look around his room to see if there's anything he might need but leaves the hotel room emptyhanded.

Even though they usually sleep in the same room, the same bed even, they always have their own room and Calum slowly makes his way over to the door with the numbers 3048 hanging on it. He stops, standing in the hallway with no shoes on for several minutes as he listens for any sound from inside the room before he finally raises his hand and knocks, letting his closed fist land on the wooden door three times before it falls to his side, much as it did hours earlier after he'd attempted to, no after he did punch Ashton in the face.

He stands still, listening hard for anything coming from inside the room but hears nothing. Hoping that maybe Ashton's just not wearing his shoes and therefore moves soundlessly he stays there for what feels like hours, his hope faltering with every minute passing. Eventually he does give up though, turning around to head back to his own room only to then come face to face with Ashton.

"Uh..." he knew what to say, he had planned out exactly what to say once he did get a chance to talk to Ashton, but now his mind goes completely blank.
