~ AN: I tried to make this fluffy bc I think the next one might get a bit sad and stuff and yeah. It's a bit short though but I didn't think it'd get much longer because it's based on a song and I just wanted to make it really fluffy and nice and stuff.

Anyways, this is dedicated to @Cashton_Giggles because your one-shot's are life and you're like a big inspiration to me and yeah, thank you for existing and stuff. /M ~

Ashton is a cleaner, although nowadays it's supposedly called household technician, and he's hella good at what he's doing. Sure, it wasn't what he wanted to become growing up, but it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Sure, it's exhausting and it makes his back and knees hurt, but he loves chatting with the guests at the hotel he works at, he loves spending his lunch hours sitting on the roof with his colleague Michael talking about everything and nothing, saying the first thing that comes to mind. He loves it, he makes enough money to pay the bills and he wouldn't change it for the world.

At least that's what he normally feels. But today is one of those days when nothing goes as planned. There's mix up's with the rooms, people are blaming him for everything even though he has nothing to do with it, it's raining and Michael isn't there so he had to eat his lunch in the packed lunchroom, alone. And as if that wasn't enough he didn't get to sit for more than fifteen minutes before someone new came along to yell at him. And it's because of all that he feels like he's about to cry when he finally gets to leave. he wants nothing more than to go home and lay in bed and forget about the world for a while, preferably with Calum so he has someone to cuddle with. But he's pretty sure that won't happen, seeing that Calum's been extremely busy with his exams and everything and probably won't be home from the library until late.

Saying that Ashton is surprised when he gets home to find the door already unlocked would be an understatement. At first he's worried he forgot to lock the door and that someone's robbed him but those worries disappears as soon as he opens the door and is met by the sound of someone moving around in the kitchen, singing along to the radio. He closes the door and kicks his shoes off but before he gets a chance to enter the kitchen Calum comes out from there, smiling.

"Hi babe." he says, walking over to Ashton and kissing him on the cheek. "I'm cooking us dinner." Ashton smiles and wraps his arms around Calum's neck, kissing him passionately.

"I thought you had to study." he mumbles against Calum's lips.

"I do, but you're more important and it felt like you needed something special." Calum whispers before kissing Ashton again, his lips lingering for a while before disappearing again. "now, go take a bath and I'll let you know when dinner's ready." normally Ashton would complain and try to get Calum to allow him to help out in the kitchen instead but he's way too tired and a bath sounds a million times better than it usually does so he nods and does as he's told.

He spends over an hour in the bathroom, just laying there in the warm water surrounded by bubbles, listening to the sounds of Calum cooking. He's close to falling asleep when he finally hears his name being called and after laying there for just a few minutes longer he gets out and dries himself off before leaving the bathroom. He walks through the livingroom into the bedroom, getting dressed before leaving the room again.

Calum's standing in the middle of the livingroom holding a glass of wine. Ashton smiles as he walks over to him and Calum hands him the glass.

"Feeling better?" he asks, wrapping his arms loosely around Ashton's waist. Ashton simply nods, sipping the wine and smiling softly. He's so lucky, so incredibly lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend. Somehow Calum always seems to know when Ashton is feeling down and he never fails to make him feel better, whether it's by doing something like this or just by saying something stupid. "Dance with me." Calum takes the wine glass from Ashton again and places it on the coffee table before taking Ashtons hands, placing one of them on his shoulder and keeping the other in his. It's first now that Ashton notices the music still coming from the radio in the kitchen.

"We can't dance." Ashton says, his voice no louder than a whisper even though they're alone. Calum doesn't answer, he just starts slowly moving around the room, pulling Ashton with him. They do step on each other's toes a lot before they get the hang of it but after three songs it's been at least thirty seconds without anyone stepping on the other one and Calum is confident enough to try a spin, something Ashton definitely wasn't expecting.

They end up on the floor, Ashton laying on top of Calum with his face in the crook of his neck, laughing uncontrollably. Calum is laughing too as he wraps his arms around Ashton again, not wanting to ruin the moment by making Ashton think he has to get up. So they lay there, both of them completely happy with where they are, listening to the songs being played on the radio. What they don't know is that they're both thinking about almost the same thing. Ashton is once again thinking about how lucky he is to have this amazing boy in his life, how lucky he is to be able to call Calum his. And Calum, Calum's just amazed that Ashton actually wanted him, that Ashton, the two years older and so much cooler boy, actually was willing to give him a chance. He never thought they'd end up here, not after that first date that was nothing but a disaster from beginning to end, but here they are, on the floor in Ashton's apartment, legs tangled together from when they fell, and he's never been happier.

"I love you." it's not the first time he's said those three words, but they've never felt truer than in this very moment and he thinks Ashton can tell because the older boy lifts his head to look him in the eyes.

"I love you too."
