Colt's hand never once left my small one ever since we entered the aquarium an hour ago.
Colt had two free passes to the aquarium an hour away and thought it would be fun. Honestly it has been a blast, watching the little kids freaking out every time they would touch the fish, or when Colt touched the jellyfish and it stung his finger. The tour person told him directly not to touch them or they will sting, and him being him just had to touch the jellyfish. So now we had finished our tour and were just roaming the place by ourselves and trying not to get lost. The place was huge. It was pretty easy to get lost.
“So I heard you know Owen Lune?” I announce as we walk in another room full of cool looking fish.
“Yeah went to hockey camp with him years back, why?”
I shrug. “My friend Alida and him have a thing. We were meeting him and his friend for pizza and when we showed up late, Alida explained we stopped to talk to people we know. He asked who and I told him.” I inform.
Colt dodges a little kid and chuckles. “Yeah, he's a cool dude. So you had pizza with him and a friend?”
I roll my eyes. “An old friend I've known for years was his friend.”
“Not double dating on me now are you?” Colt jokes. I shake my head with a chuckle. “So when's your homecoming?” Colt said, switching subjects.
“Next Saturday.” Colt and I stop at a large tank full of fish and I read the label. Chinese Fish. It read, I guess they looked pretty cool but very small fish. There was one neon colored fish so that was cool.
“Mine's next Friday.” Colt replies blasÈ.
“What? Don't like dances?” I tease as I drag him over to an even bigger tank with bigger fishes. The fishes had to be at least 6 feet long. Wow. Even a fish is longer then me. Sad.
“It's not that I don't like them, its just that no one goes to mine. They always skip ours and head to your homecoming the next day.” He explains.
“Really? That sucks.”
Colt chuckles. “Eh, I went to your homecoming in ninth grade, I'll agree it was awesome.”
I lift my eyebrows. “Are you serious? You went in ninth grade?” Colt nods and drags me in one of those places where you walk through a tank where fishes swim above you. Colt knew how freaked I get about these places, we've probably gone through this part ten times. “I went too, I'm pretty sure I would've seen you. I mean your too hot to ignore.” I state. Then I blush as I realized what the hell just came out of my mouth.
“You think I'm hot?” Colt teases with a smirk.
I slip my hand out of his and walk quickly out of the walk through and into another room, trying to cool down my burning blush. I jump when arms wrap around my waist and meet in the middle of my stomach, hot air blowing on my neck.
