Chapter 37

SO I guess one of my bullies found one of my accounts of websites I go on? I don't know if its tumblr, instragram, skype, gifboom, or wattpad... 

So if its Wattpad I have a few words for you

Yeah hi Arianna, my 12 year old brother can hold a longer relantionship then you can

hahah anyway to the side is the cutie pie Haven at 1 month ;D

“Ahh!” I screamed as I woke up from my sleep, my heart thumping hard against my chest, my whole body shaking with terror, and I was dripping with sweat. My sudden scream in the night, obviously scared Haven as she started crying from her crib. 

“Infinity?!” Kathy yells as she rushes in my room, as well as Nathan and my dad. 

I nod and swallow. “I’m fine, just a bad dream. A really bad dream.” Kathy walks over to crib and picks up Haven, rocking her. 

“You sure your fine?” Nathan asks. 

I nod. “Just frightened from my dream, that’s all.” I send Nathan a reinsuring smile. 

“Try and go back to sleep, kiddo,” my dad says as he and Nathan both walk back out. Soon, Haven relaxes again. Kathy walks over to me, I sit up, and take Haven. 

“Goodnight sweet pea,” Kathy mumbles as she kisses my forehead then walks out, closing my door behind her. I bend down and kiss Haven’s forehead then I fumble in the dark to find my phone on my bed. Finally grasping my phone, I turn it on, and with fear I press call on Colt’s number. The ringing was gruesome, it was torture, as it kept on ringing and ringing. But finally Colt picks up and I let out a tear of relief escape my eyes. 

“Are you okay?” I ask. 

“Yeah, why? Are you and Haven okay?” Colt rushes, his voice deep and sound of sleep. 

I glance down at Haven in my arms. “Yeah, we’re okay.” 

“Why? What happened?” 

“Nothing, just a bad dream that had me scared.” 

“Want to talk about it?” 

I bite my lip. “No, its fine.” 

“I’m here, Infinity. We may not be together at the moment, but I’m always here.” 

With a shaky breath, I reply. “Can you just stay on the line with me? Just until I fall back asleep?” 

“Yeah, of course.” I sigh of relief but walk out of my bed and gently place Haven in her crib. In the dark I see her eyes close and I walk back to my bed where I snuggle into the blankets and just listen to Colt’s breathing on the other line. Not even a minute passes and I know Colt fell asleep by his low and steady breathing. 

I never fell back asleep that night.

“Whose a big girl?” I gasp as I pick up Haven in her crib, she starts fussing. “okay! I guess you’re not a big girl,” I chuckle. I lay her on the floor and I grab the diapers and wipes and a new onesies. I then sit in front of Haven and start to undress her, I grin when I see that her umbilical cord stump fell out from her belly button, outie. “well I guess you really are the big girl.” Haven just fusses. I pick up her naked body and I bring her in my bathroom, where I wrap the disgusting crap, put it in the trash, then grab a Q-tip and grab antiseptic that Kathy bought me once she saw how close it was to fall out. I bring her back on my bedroom floor and start to clean her bellybutton clean, she squirms and fusses but I ignore her. I throw the Q-tip away and keep the antiseptic near the wipes. I then continue to change her diaper and dress her. I quickly place her back in her crib as I wash my hands. I then grab Haven and I walk downstairs. “her umbilical stump fell out,” I announce as I take a seat next to Kathy on the island.
