Unrevealed Love

Chapter 36

I let out a moan when the hot water drips on my back. My tense muscles immediately relax and I feel ten times better, especially as seeing this is my first shower in nearly a week. 

Haven being now 2 weeks has had a total on me. The first week was fine because it was easy waking up in the middle night but now it feels like every time I have to wake up, I have to try and wake myself up for at least 5 minutes. It’s awful. Haven seems to want to cry more and more during the night and want to eat more during the day. I was getting restless. 

So that’s why I called Alida earlier today to watch Haven while I showered and take a nap. She eagerly said yes to coming over. I hate asking people for help but man I was just so desperate! But I got a two hour nap out of it and now a peaceful shower. I was enjoying myself. 

Now, Colt left two days ago for a dirt biking festival down in LA with his friends. It was a ‘annual’ thing they did, the festival lasted five days. I couldn’t be selfish and say no for him going, so I let him go. Plus he needs time with his friends instead of staying inside with Haven and I all the time. He’s been calling me every night though, telling me how much fun he’s having so its worth all my dread to see him happy. 

After scrubbing down my whole body, shampooing, conditioning, and washing my face with a deep face cream, I get out and wrap a towel around my body. I walk out of my shower and into my room, surprised to see Alida on my bed, Haven quivering her chin laying next to Alida. 

“Thought you were watching a movie downstairs?” I question. 

Alida shrugs and looks away from her phone and at me. “It got boring.” I roll my eyes at her but crack a smile. “oh and Infinity?” I nod my head as I walk to my dresser. “Haven keeps on looking at me like she’s drunk, she’s all loopy…” 

I laugh and throw my head back. “Its part of her two week development, she’s just remembering your face,” I explain as I look over at her, she makes an ‘O’ shape with her mouth. Haven moves her head at the sound of my voice, looking around confused. 

“Phew! I thought you like drugged her up or something.” I glare at Alida and chuck my bra at her, she just laughs at me. “no but she’s starting to open up her eyes more and moving her head a lot more, than last week.” 

I nod and grab some clothes. “Yeah, like I said two week development!” I holler as I walk back into my bathroom. I put on some new and fresh clothes and start brushing my wet hair, I then put on some deodorant, perfume, then brush my teeth. Finally being done, I walk out and sit next to Haven and Alida on my bed. “were you good for aunty?” I ask the little 2 week year old as I lean close to her face, she just stares up at me. Her piercing blue eyes looking at me. 

“She cried a couple times but obviously not that loud if you didn’t wake up,” Alida teases. I chuckle. “but no she was good. No cussing yet.” 

I sigh and lean against my wall. “Oh, God.. Please stop growing the minute you turn 10, I don’t need any teenage drama.” 

Alida laughs. “Say no mommy.” I smile and close my eyes. 

Everything’s been perfect. No sign of Cage, and Gregory and Heath are miserable at home. Colt’s been with me every second of the way. Everyone offers to help in the house, even Nathan. Nathan loves Haven, he loves feeding her, cuddling with her while he watches TV, and he just loves her. My dad even tries to help any second he can. He’s been making dinner every night and beginning to hang out more with Nathan. They actually went out last night to hang out, they played bowling or something like that. Kathy’s been amazing. She’ll help hold Haven while she’s screaming her lungs off while I make her, her bottle or Kathy will just want to help with anything she can help me with. Everyone’s been so helpful.
