I look down at Haven when a commercial comes on, I smile down at her as I carefully trace her plump pink lips with my index finger. She was peacefully sleeping next to me on the couch, I was laying down, my head rested in my hand, and Haven laid in front of me. Her eyelids peacefully closed as she breathed lightly.
I jump and snap out of my dreamy state of mind when the doorbell rings. I sigh, pick up Haven, rest her in the playpen in the living room, and walk down to the door. I swallow when I see Lance standing on my porch.
“What do you want?” I demand.
Lance looks up and his green eyes burn a hole in my hazel ones. “I came to see my daughter.”
I shake my head. “Leave, Lance.”
“You couldn't call me? You couldn't give me a text? Not even an email to tell me my daughter was born?” Lance forces.
I bring the door closer to me. “Lance please leave.”
“Not until I see my daughter, Infinity.” My heart starts racing when I see the deadly glare he's giving me.
“Nate!” I yell in panic. Lance rolls his eyes and sets his jaw.
“Wow, what is he going to do, Infinity? Choke me? Or what? Drown me?” Lance mocks and a gasp escapes my lips.
“No but I can slit your throat open.” Nate hisses. I look at him over my shoulder, a deadly look on his face. Nathan walks down the stairs and stands next to me, his frame towering over me. Nathan was a little taller then Lance, but Lance by far had more muscle on him from his endless days spending at the gym.
“I'm so scared.” Lance laughs. I'm surprised when Nathan wraps an arm around Lance's neck, Lance's eyes popping out of their socket in surprise.
“Now, I won't make Infinity ask again. Leave Lance.” Nathan snaps. Nathan presses harder for a couple seconds but drops Lance, he goes running off. I quickly shut the door and lock it in a hurry. Nathan wraps me in a surprised hug. I'm surprised but after I hug him back.
“Thanks.” I whisper.
Nathan kisses the top of my head. “I'm your older brother, it's what I'm suppose to do.” He gives me a smile before disappearing up the stairs. I smile and make my way back up the stairs, but not before grabbing my ringing phone on the counter. I answer it and pick up Haven out of her playpen.
“Hello?” I sit on the couch, crisscrossed and lay Haven next to me, placing two pillows on both sides of her.
“Hey, do you mind coming over for a little while? Or spend the night? River and my Mom have been asking to see Haven. I would bring them over your house but seeing as you could just spend the night with me.” Colt's voice fills my ear and a smile immediately breaks out. Forgetting everything that happened not even a couple minutes ago.
“Yeah, sure, let me just pack her up and tell Kathy. I'll be over say in 20.”
